TW: Abuse inflicted by father, transphobic views, Regina being abused.
As he settles Regina into the passenger seat of his car, Wyatt's mind races with worry. The gravity of the situation hits him like a ton of bricks—Regina, vulnerable and defenseless, the victim of a horrific act. Anger simmers beneath the surface, but he pushes it down, focusing on the task at hand.
Starting the engine, Wyatt navigates the streets with careful precision, his eyes never leaving Regina's pale face. The drive feels endless, each passing moment weighted with the burden of what's transpired.
Finally, they arrive at Regina's house, and Wyatt gently helps her out of the car and into her home. The silence weighs heavy between them, Wyatt carrying Regina's sleep-filled form.
"You'll be okay, I promise." Wyatt says softly as he holds Regina close to him and knocks the door.
As Wyatt carried Regina to the door, her father, Colter George, stood there after answering the with a scowl etched on his face. His eyes narrowed at the sight of Wyatt, his expression a mix of disgust and disdain.
"Get out," Colter George's voice was cold and commanding, his tone dripping with contempt.
Wyatt felt a surge of anger and frustration, but he suppressed it, knowing that arguing with Regina's father would only make things worse. With a tight jaw, he carefully lowered Regina to her father's arms, his gaze never leaving Colter George's hostile stare.
"You're not welcome here," Colter George's words were laced with venom, his transphobic beliefs evident in the way he regarded Wyatt.
Wyatt clenched his fists, his pulse pounding in his ears, but he forced himself to keep his composure. He knew that Regina's father's bigotry ran deep, and there was no reasoning with him.
As he turned to leave, Wyatt's heart ached with the unfairness of it all. But he knew that he had to prioritize Regina's well-being above his own feelings. With a heavy heart, he walked away.
Time Skip: Two Days Later.
Wyatt hadn't got any response from his many calls or texts to Regina. To say he was worried and confused would be an understatement, but he left his feelings, knowing after the interaction he couldn't go back there.
Reginas Household:
In the dimly lit dining room, the clinking of silverware against delicate porcelain plates echoed throughout the room as the family enjoyed their meal. Regina, with her blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, cautiously glanced up from her plate to see her father, Colter George, glaring back at her. His intense gaze seemed to bore right through her, making her feel both uncomfortable and on edge.As the room fell silent, Colter broke the awkwardness by addressing his daughter directly, "Regina, I want you to stop talking to that...thing you call a boyfriend, crush, whatever." His words hung heavy in the air, as he spat out the word "thing" with a tinge of disgust. Regina's eyes widened, her heart pounding in her chest as she realized the gravity of her father's words.
Regina, hesitating for a moment, took a deep breath before speaking up, "Dad, you don't understand. Wyatt is a really good person. He treats me well and makes me happy."
She tried to plead her case, hoping that her father would be open-minded enough to hear her out.
Colter's face contorted into an angry scowl, as he slammed his fist on the table, causing the plates to rattle. "Wyatt is not a real man! He is a mistake, a twisted perversion of nature." His voice boomed through the room, as the rest of the family froze in place, unable to move or breathe.Regina recoiled at her father's harsh words, her eyes welling up with tears. She swallowed hard, her voice wavering as she tried to hold back her sobs, "Dad, you can't say that about him. He's a great person and you don't even know him!"
Colter's eyes flashed with pure fury, as he rose from his seat, towering over his daughter. He pointed a menacing finger in her direction, "I don't want you talking to him, ever again! You have so many other options for a boyfriend. What about Shane Oman? He's a real man, a real brute. I'll make sure you never have to deal with another... mistake like Wyatt again."
Regina's heart dropped into her stomach, as she realized that her father was dead set on not allowing her to be with the person she loved.
Colter George's fists pounded relentlessly against Regina's fragile body. His transphobic views had reached a boiling point, and now he was taking out his anger on his own daughter. Regina winced in pain with each blow, her eyes filled with tears.
"Dad, please stop," she begged, her voice barely above a whisper. "I promise I'll stop seeing Wyatt. I'll date Shane Oman like you want me to."
Colter's face twisted into a sneer. "You think that's enough, Regina? You think that'll satisfy me? You're a disgrace to this family, dating a boy like Wyatt. I won't have it."
With a final, violent punch, Colter sent Regina crumbling to the floor. She lay there, gasping for breath, her body wracked with pain.
"Dad, please... I can't take anymore," she sobbed. "I'll do anything you want. Just stop hurting me."
Colter stood over her, his breathing heavy. "Anything?" he repeated, his tone menacing. "Then prove it."
Regina swallowed hard, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew what he wanted, Regina simply nodded.
With that, he stormed out of the room, leaving Regina alone to pick up the pieces of her shattered body and spirit. She knew that her 'relationship' with Wyatt was over, they were never truly dating but she truly loved him.
