Wyatt approached Regina cautiously, his expression a mix of concern and determination. "Regina, we need to talk," he said, his voice firm but tinged with worry.
Regina glanced up from her phone, her perfectly manicured eyebrows arching in a haughty expression. "Oh, it's you," she remarked dismissively, barely sparing him a glance before returning her attention to her screen.
Wyatt rolled his eyes at her blatant indifference, his sarcasm dripping from his words. "Yeah, surprise, surprise. It's me," he retorted, crossing his arms over his chest. "I know you've been avoiding me, but we need to address what happened."
Regina scoffed, a mocking smile playing on her lips. "And why would I waste my time talking to you?" she replied, her tone laced with condescension. "You're just a nobody, Wyatt, remember? A little blip on my radar."
Wyatt's jaw clenched at her cutting words, but he refused to back down. "I may be a blip on your radar, Regina, but that doesn't change the fact that you're acting like a completely different person," he shot back, his concern seeping into his voice despite his attempt at maintaining his sarcastic demeanor.
Regina shrugged nonchalantly, her facade of indifference faltering for just a moment before she regained control. "People change, Wyatt," she replied coolly, though there was a hint of something more vulnerable beneath her icy exterior. "It's called growing up."
Wyatt's gaze softened as he took in the subtle cracks in Regina's armor, his heart aching at the sight of the girl he once knew slipping further away with each passing day. "Yeah, well, maybe some people change for the worse," he muttered under his breath, his frustration and sadness bubbling to the surface.
Regina's lips curved into a smug smile, her eyes glinting with a hint of mischief. "Oh, Wyatt, you always did have a way with words," she remarked, her tone teasing but tinged with something deeper. "But if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do than stand here and listen to you whine."
With that, Regina turned on her heel and sauntered away, leaving Wyatt standing alone with a whirlwind of conflicting emotions swirling inside him. Despite her cold demeanor, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Regina's behavior than met the eye.
Wyatt sought out his friend Theo, feeling a mix of frustration and agitation as he recounted the bizarre encounters with Regina and the troubling ordeal with her father. Leaning against the lockers, Wyatt's tone dripped with sarcasm as he laid out the situation.
"You won't believe the circus that's been my life lately," Wyatt began, his voice laced with annoyance. "Regina's been acting like she's auditioning for a soap drama, and her dad? Let's just say he makes Darth Vader look like a teddy bear."
Theo listened intently, his expression thoughtful as he absorbed Wyatt's words. After a moment, he spoke up, his tone calm and wise.
"Sounds like you're caught in the middle of a real-life drama," Theo remarked, his gaze focused. "But remember, Wyatt, you can't control how others behave. All you can do is focus on how you respond."
Wyatt nodded, his frustration still evident as he ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah, easier said than done," he muttered, his tone tinged with bitterness.
Theo placed a reassuring hand on Wyatt's shoulder, his eyes meeting his friend's with empathy.
"I'm not sure what's going on with Regina," Wyatt admitted, his tone laced with genuine concern. "But I've seen bruises on her lately, and her whole demeanor has changed. She's back to being her old self, and it's got me worried."
Theo furrowed his brow, his expression mirroring Wyatt's concern. "That doesn't sound good," he remarked, his voice tinged with worry. "It's like she's reverted back to her old ways, she hadn't changed much for everyone but for you she had."
Wyatt nodded solemnly, the weight of his concern evident in his eyes. "Exactly," he agreed, his voice tinged with frustration. "I just don't know what to do. I want to help her, but she won't let me in."
As Regina strolled by, hand in hand with Aaron Samuels, Wyatt's worry spiked, interlaced with a tinge of jealousy. He couldn't help but feel a pang of confusion and frustration at the sight.
"Great, now she's moved on to Aaron," Wyatt muttered sarcastically, his tone tinged with concern. He shot Theo a troubled glance, his brow furrowing deeper.
Wyatt, with a flair for the dramatic, launched into an impromptu rendition of Romeo's soliloquy.
Laying down on the floor Wyatt mocked Shakespeare. "Deny thy father and refuse thy name; or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I'll no longer be a Montague."
Theo watched with a mix of amusement and concern. "People are gonna think you've gone mad."
"What on earth is Wyatt doing?" Janis whispered, her brow furrowed in confusion.
Damian chuckled softly, watching Wyatt's performance with amusement. "Looks like he's reenacting Romeo and Juliet... as Romeo," he replied, equally puzzled.
Janis shook her head, a bemused smile playing on her lips. "Why am I not surprised? I swear, that boy is a walking Shakespearean tragedy waiting to happen."
They continued to observe Wyatt's antics, unsure of what had prompted this sudden burst of theatrics, but unable to deny the entertainment it provided.
Janis turned to Wyatt, a smirk playing on her lips as she interrupted his dramatic performance. "Hey, Romeo," she called out teasingly, "got any time to spare for that art project of yours, or are you too busy wooing imaginary Juliets?"
Wyatt paused mid-performance, a playful glint in his eye as he turned to face Janis. "Ah, fair maiden, thou dost wound me with thy jests," he replied dramatically, before breaking character with a grin. "But alas, my dear Janis, the art project remains but a distant dream. I'm afraid I've yet to summon the muse for such endeavors."
Janis raised an eyebrow, a hint of skepticism in her expression. "Seriously, Wyatt? We've got a deadline looming, and you're still playing the role of star-crossed lover?" she remarked, though there was a glimmer of amusement in her eyes.
Wyatt chuckled sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. "I know, I know. I'll get on it, I promise," he said with a sheepish grin, acknowledging his procrastination.
Damian, ever the voice of reason, interjected with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. "Speaking of art projects, aren't you still supposed to use Regina as your model? You know, for that naked sketch you're so keen on?"
Wyatt's cheeks flushed slightly at the reminder, a hint of embarrassment creeping into his expression. "Oh, right, that," he mumbled, feeling a tad awkward at the thought of Regina posing nude for his art project. "I guess I'll have to have a serious talk with Regina about it."
Janis shot him a knowing look, her lips quirking into a smirk. "Good luck with that," she quipped, clearly amused by Wyatt's predicament.
Wyatt rolled his eyes playfully. "Thanks for the vote of confidence," he retorted with a chuckle, already bracing himself for the awkward conversation ahead.
