As Wyatt exits his house the following day, he's caught off guard by Damian, who's been waiting for him on the front porch.
"Hey, Wyatt, can we talk for a sec?" Damian asks, his tone serious.
Wyatt nods, a sense of apprehension settling over him as he follows Damian to a quieter spot in the yard.
Once they're out of earshot, Damian turns to Wyatt, his expression unreadable. "I've been noticing something lately," he begins, his voice soft but probing. "You and Regina seem to be spending a lot of time together, and I can't help but notice the way you two look at each other in the cafeteria. What's going on, Wyatt?"
Wyatt's heart skips a beat as he tries to gather his thoughts. Damian's keen observations leave him feeling exposed, but he knows he can't keep his growing connection with Regina a secret any longer.
"It's... complicated," Wyatt admits, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "Regina and I have been working on this art project together, and... things have just kind of... evolved from there."
Damian raises an eyebrow, his gaze searching Wyatt's face for answers. "Evolved how?" he presses, his curiosity evident.
Wyatt hesitates, unsure of how much to reveal. But as he looks into Damian's eyes, he realizes he can trust his friend with the truth.
"We kissed," Wyatt confesses, his voice barely above a whisper. "It just happened, and now I don't know what to do."
As Wyatt confesses to Damian about the kiss with Regina, Damian's eyes widen in shock, his usually flamboyant demeanor momentarily subdued.
"Girl, spill the tea! I did not see that coming," Damian exclaims, a hint of sass in his voice. "Regina George, really?"
Wyatt nods, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement coursing through him. "I know, it's kind of crazy," he admits, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
Damian quirks an eyebrow, his expression a mix of amusement and concern. "Well, she's definitely... something," he says, his tone laced with sarcasm. "But are you sure you're ready for all that drama?"
Wyatt chuckles, grateful for Damian's lighthearted approach to the situation. "Honestly, I have no idea," he confesses, a small smile playing at his lips.
Damian places a hand on Wyatt's shoulder, his eyes softening with genuine concern. "Just be careful, okay? Regina George may be the queen bee, but she's also got a sting," he warns, his voice more serious now.
Wyatt nods, grateful for Damian's support. "Thanks, Damian. I'll keep that in mind," he says, his voice filled with gratitude.
As Wyatt finishes sharing the surprising news with Damian, Damian's eyes widen in disbelief. "Oh, honey, this is some hot gossip," Damian says with a smirk, his sassiness returning. "Do Cady or Janis know about this?"
Wyatt shakes his head firmly. "Nope, I'm keeping it under wraps for now," he admits, feeling a twinge of uncertainty about revealing his newfound connection with Regina to his friends.
Damian nods knowingly, his expression softening. "I can see why. Janis might have some choice words about this," he remarks, his tone tinged with understanding.
As Wyatt and Damian chat, Damian's tone shifts slightly, becoming more thoughtful. "So, what's the deal with you and Regina? Are you two actually dating, or is it more of a 'it's complicated' situation?" Damian asks, his curiosity evident.
Wyatt pauses, considering Damian's question carefully. "Honestly, I'm not sure," he admits, a hint of uncertainty in his voice. "We've been spending more time together, but we haven't really defined what we are."
As they continue chatting, Damian's playful side resurfaces, and he naturally steers the conversation toward the upcoming Halloween party. "So, are you going to Regina's bash?" Damian asks, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Wyatt hesitates momentarily before responding. "Yeah, I am," he says with a hint of excitement, despite his lingering nerves.
Damian cocks an eyebrow, intrigued. "Really? Should be an interesting night," he muses, offering Wyatt a supportive nod.
With Damian's encouragement, Wyatt feels a renewed sense of confidence about attending Regina's party. Little does he know, the evening will hold surprises and revelations he never could have anticipated. But with Damian in his corner, he feels ready to face whatever the night may bring.
As Wyatt and Damian continue their conversation, Wyatt's face lights up with excitement. "Guess what? I've already picked out my costume for Regina's Halloween party," he announces with a grin.
Damian raises an eyebrow skeptically. "Oh, do tell. Let me guess, you're going as a Victoria's Secret model?" he teases, a playful smirk on his lips.
Wyatt chuckles at Damian's sarcasm. "Not quite. I'm going as Rocky from Rocky Horror Picture Show," he reveals proudly, anticipation evident in his voice.
Damian's eyes widen in mock horror. "Oh, honey, are you sure you want to be running around in just leopard print underwear and gold boots all night?" he quips, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Wyatt laughs at Damian's comment. "Hey, it's all part of the fun," he says, undeterred by Damian's teasing.
With his costume chosen and Damian's sarcastic banter keeping things light, Wyatt feels even more excited about the upcoming party. Little does he know, his daring costume choice will set the stage for an unforgettable night ahead. But with Damian's playful support, Wyatt is prepared to embrace the festivities with gusto.
