Chapter 4

*Beep*

"We are preparing for landing. Please secure all belongings and buckle all seatbelts. Welcome to Japan."

*Beep*

I awoke to the sound of the flight attendants making an announcement over the intercom. After being awake for a few seconds, I realized I wasn't sitting straight up, but rather leaning to my left.

"Good morning sleepyhead." I heard a low voice coming from whatever I was leaning on. Eventually I realized it wasn't a what but a who.

"Oh! I'm sorry I didn't realize I fell asleep on your shoulder." I picked my head up quickly and looked at him.

"I don't mind, whatever helps you get the most rest." Seungcheol smiled at me, flashing his dimples in the process. For some reason, that made me feel tingly on the inside... weird.

Soon the plane landed, and we were all grabbing our things and walking to where our cars were picking us up.

"We'll split up from here and meet at the hotel. We'll decide room arrangements once we get there." Seungcheol announced to the group.

I ended up in a car with Minghao, Seungkwan, Hoshi, DK, Dino, and Vernon.

This will be an interesting car ride, I thought to myself.

And sure enough, the whole car ride was filled with loud singing, jokes, and yelling... lots and lots of yelling. I wish I was as smart as Vernon; he had his headphones in the whole time so he wouldn't have to endure the noise we had to experience.

We all piled out of the car and into the lobby of the hotel we would be spending the next week at. Once Seungcheol and Jeonghan went to check us in, they returned to the group.

"Alright kids, we have seven rooms so we can put two people in each one. We can do this the easy way or the hard way." Jeonghan said.

"Last time we did this the 'hard' way, aka choosing our own roommates, it took us forever." Mingyu whined.

"Easy way it is. Random generator!" Jeonghan sounded a little too happy about this. "Sky, are you okay with random? Or would you rather be with Minghao?" He turned to me.

"I'm okay with it. It's a trip after all, let's make it interesting." I smiled at him, and he nodded.

The room assignments went as followed: Seungcheol & Woozi, Jeonghan & DK, Joshua & Dino, Jun & Minghao, Hoshi & Seungkwan, Wonwoo & Mingyu, and I was with Vernon.

"Alright go unpack! It's 5pm now, let's all meet back down here at 7pm so we can go for dinner." Seungcheol said to the group.

And with that we all went our separate ways.

I had no complaints about sharing a room with Vernon. We aren't best friends or anything, but we're close enough to be comfortable around each other and even share secrets and go to each other for advice. Plus, he's one of the quieter members, so I won't have to worry about staying up all night.

We arrived at our room and to say this room was beautiful is an understatement. There were two queen beds, an actual living room set-up with a couch and all, a small kitchen area, and the restroom was HUGE. There was a bathtub AND a walk-in shower.
