Julian knew when Samantha woke him up in the middle of the night, that it was time for his son to be born.
He was due exactly nine months after the wedding, much to everyone's teasing.
They made their slow way to Sick Bay so that he could deliver their baby. He was going to be named James Leonard Bashir, after a certain Kirk family. Once they were down in Sick Bay, Julian checked on the progress of her labour.
He could see a head!
'Samantha, dear, its now time to push. Our son is in a hurry to come into the world.'
Samantha pushed with all of her strength and relaxed as the contraction ebbed. When the next one hit, she pushed James right out into Julian's arms. He was a strong healthy boy.
Julian placed James into Samantha's arms, his beautiful goddess. She was on track to replace Sisko when he eventually got promoted to Admiral. She would lead a space station, not a star ship but she had something that she wanted so much more.
She had Julian, and he had her. Together their family could grow in the relative peace of DS9.
Together now and forever.
