As the day wore on, we wrapped up our work at the station, gathering all the information we could. Returning to our motel room, they changed out of their uniforms. Dean ventured out to fetch dinner, while I indulged in a refreshing shower.

I stood beneath the lukewarm spray, the water cascading over my skin in gentle rivulets, gradually seeping into every pore. Closing my eyes, I allowed the warmth to penetrate deep into my muscles, easing the tension that had built up throughout the day. With each passing moment, I found myself lost in thought, replaying the events of the day in my mind's eye, which made me form a smile.

I pivoted leisurely around, feeling the water cascade down my body as my fingers trailed through my damp hair, letting the droplets trickle along my spine. I swept my hair over my shoulder, letting it cascade down the front, framing my face in a graceful arc.

"Hey Dean," the door burst open, sending a rush of cold air into the room. "Do you have my razor?" Sam asked, catching me off guard as I remained in the tub, as he clearly was waiting for a response.

"Dean, do you have his razor?" I called out, my voice reverberating in the room before Sam hastily stuttered and retreated from the bathroom, the door shutting swiftly behind him. Unable to contain myself, I burst into laughter, finding the situation amusing. "Sam!" I called out amidst my laughter. "Come back!"

After a few seconds, I heard the door creak open again. I grabbed the shower curtain and popped my head around, seeing Sam standing there.

"Your brother isn't here. He left about ten minutes ago," I announced, still feeling the water hitting my back. I noticed Sam opened his mouth but quickly closed it. "Be a doll and get me the towel," I added, gesturing towards the towel rack.

I watched as he made his way to the towel rack, I then quickly turned around and shut off the shower. The sound of water hitting the tub abruptly ceased. He approached the side of the tub and extended his long arm out, his gaze averted. I reached out and grabbed the towel from his hand, wrapping it around my chest.

"You act like you've never seen a naked body before," I teased, throwing back the curtain and stepping out of the tub. Sam's eyes met with mine once he noticed that I was decent.

"I've seen plenty," he retorted, earning an arched brow from me.

"Yeah, your own," I shot back, teasingly. I sauntered past him and into the motel room, where the twin beds were separated apart. I could hear him struggling to find a comeback, his attempts falling flat.

"God, I've missed you, Sam," the words escaped before I could filter them, halting me in my tracks. I tensed up, feeling his gaze on me, cursing under my breath at my own slip.

"Oh," he responded, a hint of surprise in his tone, clearly caught off guard by my confession. "You missed me?" he asked, attempting to mask his own discomfort with casual curiosity. At that moment, I wished I could disappear into a cloud of black smoke and never reappear.
