I could feel my heart hammering against my chest into a frenzy, feeling indebted at my Boss's kindness and generosity.
"Thank you, Boss. Thank you..."
I drew out a shaky breath.
"You don't know how much this means to me. I really appreciate this."
"No problem," he smiled at me. "You take care of yourself and be ready to hustle next week. We've got new clients coming in then, too."
"Okay. I'll leave now. Thank you," I said gratefully, and without another word, I turned on my heel, making my way out of the office as quickly as my legs could carry me.
