Chapter1- New kid

Johnnies POV:

First day of Junior year. I wish I never had to go back to high school.

"Johnnie! Hurry up and get your ass over here! I made you breakfast!"

"Hold up! Im still doing my hair!"

"You're going to school, not the mall! Now hurry up before your food gets cold!"

Mom changed ever since she met Eric. Her boyfriend. He such a pain in the ass... I made my way downstairs and saw my mom standing in the kitchen, making breakfast for Eric.

"Hi, sweetheart. Hurry up and eat so Eric can go drop you off to school."

"Mhmm"

I barely ate the whole thing but I still managed to eat almost half of the pancakes my mom made. Ever since she found out about my eating disorder, she's been keeping an eye on me, making sure that I at least ate something.

"Ready to go, kiddo?"

"Yep."

The ride was kind of awkward since Eric tried talking to me about shit that I don't care about. I've tried giving him signs to leave me alone and quit talking to me but he doesn't care. He's always ignoring me and always putting himself first. Once he made it to the front of the school, I got out the car without saying bye and made my way to my first class which was algebra. God must really hate me, huh.

I sat in the corner since there wasn't any assign seats, which I am very thankful for. I scrolled through Instagram for 10 minutes before class started.

"Hello everyone! Are we all happy for being back in school?!"
......
"Yeah, well, don't worry because I will make sure to make this school year fun for everyone!"

That's what he always says but Instead, he just makes everyone so boring.

"Before we get into the lesson, we have a new student! Let's see, Jake come over here and stand next to me so you introduce yourself to everyone!"

Poor guy, he has to go stand next to that weirdo and talk in front of the whole class. My anxiety could never.

"Uhm... hi. Im Jake.." Really? Not even fun facts about himself? That guy is cool.

The rest of the class was just the teacher trying to be 'cool' but instead he just made a fool of himself. I mean, he literally said one of the weirdest sentence I have ever heard anyone say! Like, what the hell did he mean by "No cap sigmas but you guys need to pay attention to this part so you guys can mew harder" I literally got second hand embarrassment from this guy.

As I continued walking to my next class, I noticed that the new kid looked lost.

"Hey, you're the new kid right?" Yeah no shit, dumbass. This is literally your first time seeing him.

"Yeah! Can you help me find this class?" He gave me a piece of paper that had all of his classes listed on.

"We have all of our classes together. You can just follow me around. Also, I like your style. Really suits you."

"Thanks!"

We got to class together and didn't really do anything. The new kid was already getting popular, and it's his first day here! I mean, his voice is really cool, he's got good style, and he's tall. Like really tall. Oh, and he works out! Im surprised that he doesn't even play sports.

Class finally finished and I headed towards the lunch room like everyone else did. Jake was with a group of people which were the popular kids. They're sometimes annoying not going to lie... especially Tara. She's really loud, and talks a lot. Her friends call her Ms yapper which is pretty suiting for her.

I sat down on an empty table, like I always do. Everyone here thinks im a freak, like, they're constantly looking at me and talk shit about me too. Like, the hell did I do?! Im just trying to live a normal life!

"Hey! Johnnie!"

That voice sounds like the new kid... what's he calling me for?

"Johnnie! You should come and sit with us!"

"Shit, dude. You fuckin' scared me.."

"Sorry!... but you should sit with us! They want to get to know you!"

Yeah, that's definitely a lie they told him. They're probably going to try to gain my trust and once they do, they'll beat the shit out of me for the rest of the school year.

"Do I have to?.."

"C'mon! It'll be fun!"

"Fine..."

I slowly got up, like a grandpa and followed Jake over to his new friend's table. I felt really intimidated by them because they all just stared when I got to their table...

"So Johnnie," Ms yapper is the first one to talk to me.. yay..

"How come you're always alone? Like, whenever I see you, you're always by yourself"

Ouch, she really had to point out the fact that no one wants to be my friend.

"Uh.. I just prefer being by myself, I guess.."

"Oh. Well, you're always welcome to come and hang out with us! Right guys?"

Everyone nodded their head in agreement but I kept getting this feeling that they were just lying to me..

Later on, Lunch was over and Jake and I walked to our next class, then the other and finally, school was over. The whole day pretty much went by fast, Jake and I became friends pretty quickly and I invited him over to hang out with me because he's the only friend I have in this school.

"So where we going?"

"You'll see!"

We arrive at an empty shack that was hidden inside the woods. Which looked like I was planning to murder him there but in reality, we were just talking about our life.

"So, why did your family move to this small depressing town?"

"To be honest, I don't even know. I've never asked them. I mean, we're constantly moving around so I guess I got used to it."

"Ohh.. you got any siblings?"

"Yeah, I got a younger sister and an older brother! How 'bout you?"

"I got an older sister. She's doesn't live with us since she's in her 20's. I kind of miss her."

"Ohh.."

We talked for a little while before it had gotten dark and we both had to get home for dinner. I made it back home and my mom looked a little worried.. I noticed that Eric was standing beside her, with his arms crossed and his eyebrows furrowed.

"Where were you?!"

"I-I was with a friend.."

"This late?! You literally worried your mother!"

"It's not even a big deal! It's only 10pm! It's not that late!"

"Don't talk back to me, young man! Go to your room! NOW!"

I fucking hate him. He's so annoying, always thinking he's the tough guy around here. Y'know, this one time he tried sending me military school! Why? Because Im a 'little shy girl' like what the fuck?!

"Johnnie." Eric walked in without even knocking the door. He seriously doesn't give a shit about privacy.

"Why do you hate me so much? What have I ever done to you?!"

"You're always getting mad at me for the smallest things... and you tried sending me away from my mom.."

"Well I did that because you need to better yourself. Did your dad never teach you how to be a man?! You're always in your room! You need to go out and play some sports! Like a real man."

I didn't answer him. He stood in front of my bed to a couple of minutes before walking away and slamming my door.

I miss my dad... I wish mom never met Eric.. I wish I could just end everything..
