sunshine, light and happiness.
no wonder he was regarded as the most cheerful member. there was quite no one like him, how could one be so happy and cheerful all the time?
that was something only he would know after all.
lee felix, the third youngest of the group. he was the sweetheart of everyone's hearts, even catching the attention of changbin who was known for being cold towards most of the members. his smile.. oh my god his smile.
it was golden.
the blonde haired boy sat at the sofa along with seungmin and jeongin. the youngest had suggested the idea of playing video games and felix wasn't the one to back down easily. jisung was upstairs in his room, nobody really knew what he was doing. as worried as felix was, he knew that his sunshine twin would come downstairs in time
he always did.
his head was in game, focused on beating seungmin in mario kart. he managed to knock jeongin's character off the map making the black haired boy squeal in disappointment. felix let out a laugh as his character darted across the screen. out of the corner of his eye, he noticed seungmin approaching him. huh, too late! felix had also kicked him off the map, the latter letting out a strong scream.
felix let himself laugh as his face hurt by the smiles. he was happy, he was so happy!
it was in these moments where he was forced to remember, it wouldn't always be this way.
"hyung are we even going the right way?" "calm down lee know, he knows what he's doing"
the four boys trailed behind their leader who was carrying a flashlight. they were walking pretty sloppily for the title of mafia gang 'stray kids'. well, most of these kids were teenagers. it was expected.
the boy carrying the flashlight turned around. he was of average height, with curly blonde hair and dark brown eyes. he frowned slightly when he heard the statement made by the boy, apologising softly when he accidentally flashed the light on their eyes.
it was late at night. the darkness made it seem even later even though it was just 11:30. probably because it was moonless night and the five of them were in a semi-abandoned forest, semi because there were still working buildings, most of them being diners or rescue buildings for people like them who ventured into the area late in the night.
the leader, chan felt his juniors shuffle behind him. he could literally feel the fear radiating off jeongin who was clinging to seungmin as if his life depended on it; well, it could. seungmin was ignoring jeongin, sometimes pausing to adjust the younger's hand. he was tilting his head left and right, jumping when he heard a single sound. jisung and lee know were surprisingly fine, both of them whispering to each other as they walked. chan had thought that jisung's anxiety would spiral in a case like this, considering the fact that he hated all things scary but he was fine, occasionally holding lee know's hand whe he encountered something relatively frightening.
chan was holding up. after all, he was the one who had suggested they explore the forest near the house. he had volunteer to go alone, as woojin was preoccupied and couldn't go with them. he took a deep breath and looked up.
the night sky was hidden by the foliage of the trees. it was a dark midnight blue, with small white stars scattered across. like salt spilled on a table. it was quiet, if they made it upwards the trail, there was a chance that they could watch the stars up close. the thought made chan smile as he turned towards his friends, beckoning them to continue the walk.
