Rasazy, driven by a sudden surge of empathy and compassion, made a split-second decision to save the boy from Miss Circle's wrath. She drew upon powers she'd inherited from her Canon mother, watching and learning her mother's magical abilities through Selever's Scrying portals. Darkness swirled in Rasazy's hand as she conjured a veil of shadows, casting it over the room to obscure Miss Circle's vision.

For a moment, the towering teacher faltered, blinking in confusion as the shadows enveloped her. Rasazy seized the moment, adding another layer to her illusion—a spell that dulled Miss Circle's senses, making her deaf to all sound, even her own movements. It was a trick she had seen before, one that could convince even the most astute mind that the world around them had suddenly gone silent.

With her illusions firmly in place, Rasazy darted forward, her heart pounding. She reached the cowering boy, who stared up at her with wide, tear-filled eyes, too terrified to move. Without a word, Rasazy lifted her hand, and the boy began to levitate, his body rising gently off the ground. His expression shifted from fear to confusion as Rasazy guided him away from the imminent danger.

Suddenly, a low, menacing growl filled the room. Miss Circle, though momentarily blinded and deafened, was not completely fooled. She slammed her massive compass arm against the floor with terrifying force, the impact sending cracks spiraling through the floor tiles. The vibrations rattled through Rasazy's feet, and she knew there was little time left before Miss Circle broke free from her illusions.

With no time to waste, Rasazy fled the classroom, levitating the boy behind her as she sprinted through the hallways. Behind them, the shouts and curses from Miss Circle echoed, growing louder as the teacher regained her senses. Rasazy suppressed the urge to turn back and confront the enraged woman, but she knew it would be reckless. She had to get the boy to safety before anything else.

As they ran, Rasazy's thoughts raced. She had acted on instinct, protecting someone she barely knew. Was it worth the risk? What consequences would come from defying Miss Circle's? She shook off the doubts for now, focusing on getting as far away as possible.

But her plan hit an unexpected snag. Rounding a corner at full speed, Rasazy's forehead collided with something solid—another person. The impact jarred her, sending a wave of dizziness through her head, and in that instant, her concentration slipped. The levitation spell fizzled out, and the boy dropped to the floor with a loud thud, groaning in pain as he hit the ground hard.

Rasazy rubbed her head, blinking to clear her vision, and looked up to see who she had run into. It was another student, a girl with semi-pale gray skin and long gray hair tied in a ponytail. Her most striking feature, however, was the pair of sock puppets on her arms, each adorned with googly eyes that wobbled comically from the collision.

The girl, still reeling from the unexpected crash, seemed just as surprised as Rasazy. But before either of them could speak, a loud rumble echoed through the halls. The sound of Miss Circle's footsteps drew closer, and her voice, dripping with malice, boomed from somewhere behind them.

"A failure has friends to intervene? How cute, but futile. Don't worry, all of you interlopers will become my food soon enough."

Rasazy's eyes widened in alarm. She had no time to explain, and Miss Circle was clearly no longer in the mood to toy with her prey. Without hesitation, Rasazy summoned her magic again, this time lifting both the boy and the gray-haired girl off the ground. The girl gasped as she floated in midair, clearly bewildered by what was happening, but Rasazy had no time to offer explanations.

"Hang on! "She muttered, more to herself than anyone else, as she bolted down the hallway, sprinting as fast as her legs could carry her. Her mind raced, adrenaline surging through her veins as she pushed forward, dodging corners and darting past empty classrooms.
