Rasazy, Lana, and Abbie sprinted through the endless maze of hallways, their lungs burning and their legs threatening to give out with every step. Behind them, the ominous scraping of Miss Circle's metallic prosthetic echoed, a constant reminder of the danger lurking just behind. The air was thick with tension, and Rasazy's heart pounded wildly in her chest as she led the group toward their last hope—the principal's office.

"We're almost there! "Rasazy shouted, her voice strained from both panic and exhaustion as they careened around a sharp corner.

Lana, her face pale and eyes wide, risked a glance over her shoulder. "She's right behind us! I can hear her—scratching the lockers. She's getting closer!"

Abbie lagged behind, his face drenched in sweat, his legs threatening to give out. "I—I can't...keep this up...much longer!" he panted, stumbling as fear gripped him. His voice trembled with sheer desperation, but they couldn't afford to slow down.

Summoning every ounce of energy they had left, the trio pushed forward, their eyes locked on the door at the end of the hallway—the principal's office. Finally, they burst through the door, and Rasazy didn't hesitate for a second. She slammed it shut and swiftly turned the lock, her chest heaving as she leaned against the door, her entire body trembling from the adrenaline coursing through her veins.

The momentary silence was a relief, and the three of them collapsed onto the cool marble floor, gasping for breath. The tension in the room was palpable, their bodies still shaking from the relentless chase.

But just as they allowed themselves a fleeting moment of respite, a sharp, deliberate "ahem" broke through the silence, freezing them in place. Slowly, they looked up.

Standing behind a large desk, surrounded by towering stacks of paperwork, was Miss Grace—the stoic and imposing principal of the school. Her eyes, cool and calculating, swept over the trio, her expression unreadable.

"Ahem," she repeated, her tone firm but not unkind. She raised an eyebrow, her arms crossed over her chest as she observed them, clearly waiting for an explanation.

Rasazy, still breathless, scrambled to her feet, feeling both relieved and tired. She tried to compose herself, standing straighter as she addressed her guardian. "Miss Grace—um, Mother—I think we've gotten ourselves into a bit of a predicament."

Miss Grace's gaze softened slightly at the word "mother," though her stern demeanor remained intact. She let out a weary sigh. "I've been informed," she said dryly. "It seems you've caused quite the uproar in my school. But it appears you've found your way to the one place where you might find some form of sanctuary."

The trio exchanged relieved glances, still catching their breath. Miss Grace gestured to a set of plush chairs near her desk. "Sit down," she commanded, her voice calm but authoritative. "Explain what happened—start from the beginning."

They didn't need to be told twice. Rasazy, Lana, and Abbie sank into the chairs, the tension in their bodies slowly ebbing away as they recounted the chaotic series of events. From Miss Circle's sudden wrath to the relentless chase through the hallways to the teachers they encountered along the way—every detail spilled out as Miss Grace listened, her sharp eyes never leaving them. Her expression remained neutral, though her brows furrowed slightly when they described Miss Circle's more aggressive behavior.

Once the trio had finished their story, Miss Grace sat back in her chair, her fingers steepled as she considered their words. The room was eerily quiet for a moment as they awaited her response. Finally, she leaned forward, her voice cool and measured. "It seems," she began, "that we have quite the situation on our hands."

Rasazy, expecting some form of intervention, felt a flicker of hope. But that hope quickly faded as Miss Grace continued.

"Unfortunately, I can't help you in this particular matter."
