CHAPTER EIGHTEEN !
" HELPING A FRIEND "WOODSBORO HIGH !
Leo Jackson"INTERRUPTING AN AFFAIR?" leo says as he almost pukes at the sight of Odessa and Smith french kissing.
"Leo! Jesus." Odessa says pulling away from Smith. "you scared me."
Evrin was still grunting from the bullet in his leg. "please we need to leave, i dont know how much longer i can hold on. it hurts."
Odessa gasps as she tries to think. " i can take the bullet out but i need tools. I need a sterile environment." She says as Smith adn Leo sync up.
"The school's nurse's office."
Odessa looks at what she's wearing and shakes her head. Then she looks at what Smith is wearing and decided the idea in her head was good. She walks up to him again takes his black long tshirt and rips it up.
"Dang Essie if you wanted to see me naked, you could have just asked you know." Smith says smirking and smiling stupidly.
Odessa rolls her eyes but smiling. "Smith i love you, but its not the time." And turns to Evrin. "Leo put him down quick."
Odessa tied the ripped cloth a little highier than where the wound was to stop the bleeding for now.
How she learned this stuff? Her mother. Her mother was a nurse back when she was alive.
"please lets leave." Leo says as they all nod.
As they hurried to the school's nurse's office, Odessa's mind raced with thoughts of how to remove the bullet from Evrin's leg.
She knew they needed a sterile environment and proper tools, but they were limited to what they could find in the school's medicine kit.
"Okay, let's see what we've got here," Odessa muttered, her voice tinged with urgency as she rummaged through the kit. "Tweezers, gauze, antiseptic—this should work."
Evrin winced as he gingerly lowered himself into a chair, his hand pressed firmly against his wounded leg. "Hurry, Odessa. I don't know how much longer I can hold out."
"I'm doing my best, Evrin," Odessa reassured him, her brow furrowed with concentration. "Just try to stay still."
Smith and Leo hovered nearby, their expressions tense with worry as they watched Odessa work.
"You got this, Essie," Smith said softly, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "We're all counting on you."
Odessa nodded, grateful for his support, before turning her attention back to Evrin's leg.
Meanwhile, Leo paced back and forth, his agitation evident in the way he clenched and unclenched his fists.
"Come on, Odessa, you can do it," he muttered under his breath, his eyes never leaving her form.
After what felt like an eternity, Odessa finally felt the cold metal of the bullet beneath her fingertips. With a determined resolve, she grasped the tweezers firmly and began to extract the bullet, her movements slow and deliberate.
Evrin let out a sharp hiss of pain, his face contorted in agony as Odessa worked. "Just a little more, Evrin," she said soothingly, her voice laced with determination.
With one final tug, the bullet came free, causing Evrin to cry out in relief.
Odessa quickly cleaned the wound once more before bandaging it with the gauze, her hands moving with practiced efficiency.
"There," she said, her voice trembling slightly with exhaustion and relief. "It's out."
Evrin let out a shaky breath, his face pale but grateful. "Thank you, Odessa," he murmured, his eyes reflecting a mixture of pain and gratitude.
Odessa offered him a weak smile, her heart still racing from the adrenaline rush of the past few minutes. "You're welcome, Evrin. Just glad I could help a friend ."
"You'll be an amazing doctor Dessa." Leo says.
"If we survive. . . "
