There was a loud bang on the door. I blinked and looked around. With a groan I sat up, meeting Winston's eye and then catching Thomas's. Apprehension grew. What kind of klunk is going on now? The was a loud click and then the door slid open. Captain Vince was standing there with a few guards.
"Where's Jessie?" I demanded even before he had a chance to say anything.
"Your time out is finished, you're welcome back with the rest. Just keep a low profile. I don't need more issues with you guys." He ignored my question
"Well considering who you're talking to, no promises buddy." Jason muttered.
"Where's Teresa?" Thomas demanded.
"And Jessie! Where are the girls?"
"Their fine."
"Then where are they? What happened to them?"
"Come on, you can come nice and cooperatively or you can stay here." Vince shrugged. He turned away and started down the hall.
Reluctantly we all followed. Thomas tried to get more answers from Vince, but he just ignored Thomas. I kept my jaw shut and ground me teeth. I had been feeling antsy and angry for the last few days, it had been the longest stretch of time I hadn't gone for a run and I was feeling all the pent up anger rage and energy.
We all sat at the back again, all squished together at the end of the the table. Everyone was quiet and sullen. Thomas was jittery and kept his knee bouncing. It felt like we sat at the table all morning. Being here with all these other kids felt just autophobic as being locked in our room. I felt caged and trapped.

I was sitting in a dark office room. It was midnight, the shadows made the room eerie. But I was locked in my own head, the fog was swirling, it was like a waking dream. I was aware of what was going on and what was happening, but I wasn't in control of my own actions, I was told to sit still and wait so I did. Three others sat with me. All dressed in black, all looking at the door. Waiting.
The door clicked and The Handler walked in along with a woman dressed in all white her blond hair pulled tight into a bun. I never fully saw The Handlers face, he was carful with staying in the shadows. The four of us sitting at the table all pulled out a hand gun laid it on the table and pushed it towards them as they sat down.
"Always arm your superiors, if they decide you are no long required or you decide to become noncompliant." The harsh voice of The Handler whispers inside my head.
It's now a conditioned behavior. As the gun slid to the other side of the table The Handler and the woman sat down.
"Your new assignment requires the four of you. The Purge."
The four of us nodded, eyes vacant and mouths shut and unable to talk behind the masks we were always required to wear when we were part of The Wolf Pack.
"Here's a list of your targets, names and faces. I want them all eliminated."
We all nodded again. A folder was slid towards each of us. I flicked it open, pages of each person. All the Elites, all the higher ups of WICKED. Head Doctors, head researchers, the current Chancellor , the current Head of security...The Handler and this woman wanted them all eliminated.
"As always you are nothing but a shadow, a ghost. In and out and disappear. No one is left alive."
We nodded. The dark shadowy room disappeared.
