this is a headcannoned character made by the fandom that does not exist in canon.
physical appearance:
tom is a spitting image of his father from the 1940s. it brings him shame, but has the same dark hair and dark eyes. the only changing factors are the way he carries himself in a room and the hidden scarring running thick on his back.
tom has extensive scarring down his spine, paired with a semi visible scar running down his temple, stretching across his chin to the bolt of his jaw. if anybody dares near him, they might notice a chip in the iris paired with a double pupil; a mishap involving an angry guardian and a misplaced bombardamaxima had resulted in tom gaining double vision in his eyes (see iridodialysis).
he's slightly better developed than his father, although his fitness doesn't come from a strict workout routine.
tom is around 5'6, although he's adamant to being rounded up to 5'7.

tom is a well known stresser and has many stress-induced migraines, which paired with his iridodialysis makes for horrible reading sessions before exams.
he tries to be mean and cold, and usually succeeds with people he doesn't know. he's a calm, introverted nerd who just wants to laze around and read all day. he finds responsibility hard and actively avoids it, but when it's something important to him, he rather be in charge (i.e. his brother, future/job).
academia:
compared to his father's hard academia, tom is a soft academic. he holds knowledge near and dear, and is a little fountain of random facts for people he knows well and trusts. he has a bad habit of procrastination.
despite being intelligent and loving knowledge, tom despises school. he hates the structured learning and the necessity of it. he hates studying, but likes knowing, which makes him an ever-confusing mess of contradictions. despite this, tom is a high achiever, and won't take anything less than the best.
as a way of being "fair", dumbledore made him prefect; a responsibility tom didn't want or need. he only uses his privileges to get everybody but mattheo and his friends in trouble.
he's skilled in wandless magic, but never mastered nonverbal magic.
