Give me your hand (A Daniel Skye fanfic)

Chapter 8

~ Anna's POV ~

I woke up to strong arms wrapped around me, and of course, that dumb alarm clock.

I looked up and saw Daniel sleeping. Aww, he's so cute. I poked his nose trying to wake him up. He shuffled a little bit but just groaned.

I poked both sides of his cheeks once again, attempting to wake him up. Well, this isn't working. I decided to shake him a little. He just groaned again.

I tried to get out of his arms so I could get ready for school, but he wouldn't budge. "Daniel, come on. I gotta get up." I said. "5 more minutes." He mumbled. "That's what you said last time. And that made us late to school." He just grunted, and with that he loosened his grip.

I got up and went to go get ready. By the time I was done it was 7:20, and Daniel was still asleep. "Daniel wake up dude! You're the one who always makes us late!" I laughed. He got up, and got ready within 10 minutes.

"Let's go." He said as he grabbed my hand, and headed out the door.

While we were walking, I wanted to ask him questions about the date we are having. "Daniel?" "Yes?" "About the date, I want to kno-" "I'm not going to tell you anything about that. All you need to know is to dress like you usually do, and that it's on Friday." He said.

We got to school, and went to our first period class. We sat next to each other like we always do, and then Daniels friends came in. They sat close to me and Daniel. Jake kept looking at me. What the heck? So I just ignored it.

-- skip class and to last class --

As soon as I walked into my last class, I saw Alejandra and Kelsey. I walked towards them, and sat down next to them.

"I gotta tell y'all something." I said. "Okay." They both said. "So yesterday, Daniel asked if I would go on a date with him, and of course, I said yes." I said, but I stopped when they got too jumpy. I just gave them a weird look. "Guys calm down." I laughed. "It's not that big of a deal."

"Anna, in case you forgot, you have a date with Daniel Skye. THE Daniel Skye, that thousands girls would kill to have!!" Alejandra said. I already forgot that he was half way famous. Wow.

Kelsey hit me in the arm. "Ow, what the freak. What was that for.?!" "That was for not understanding how important this is, you big dumby!" So I ended up hitting her back, and we got into a little hitting fight until Alejandra stopped it.

"Anyways..that's not the only thing I had to say." "What?" "Jake has been looking at me all day. Not in a friendly way, but kind of like a .. I don't know, checking me out kind of way? I'm not really sure how to explain it..and I don't know how he would check me out, I don't even have anything to look at!" I said laughing.

"Do you think he likes you?" Kelsey said. "I don't know. I hope not." I said

-- skip to end of school --

I wanted to walk home with Daniel today, so I waited for him to come outside the school. After about 5 minutes he came out, and walked towards me. "Finally. It took you long enough!" I said joking. "Sorry. I was doing something." He put his arm around my shoulder, and we started walking home.

"I know Jake was looking at you today." Daniel said out of no where. "I know he was. But it didn't really bug me.." "Well it bugged me." "Why?" "Because of the way he looked at you. It looked like he likes you or something." "Well..I don't like him." "Good. I mean, you can if you want, but I jus-" I cut him off. "I know what you mean." I laughed.

We got to his house, and I was hungry! I went to the kitchen, and made some macaroni and cheese. "Where's mine?" He asked as he came in. "Go make it yourself. I'm not your maid." "Sassy." "Yeah yeah."

"Wanna watch a movie?" He asked. "Sure. Are we gonna go to the theater or just watch a movie here?" "It's up to you." "I guess we could just stay here." "What movie?" "Little Rascals!" I said getting excited. I love the Little Rascals! "All right let me go get it." He said laughing.

We went into his living room and sat next to each other as the movie played. He put his arm over my shoulder, and I felt..tingly inside? Ughh, what is this boy doing to me??

During the movie, me being me, I said almost every line. Daniel just laughed at me.

When it came to my favorite part, I made sure to say it as loud as I could. "I got two pickles, I got two pickles, I got two pickles today! Hey, hey!" "Calm down, or you'll wake China up." "If you can't tell..this is my favorite movie. It's almost impossible to calm down." "Yeah, well you wanna know what my favorite movie is?" He asked. "I already know what it is." I laughed. He looked surprised, and confused at the same time.

"It's The Call." I answered for him. He still had that look on his face. "Daniel, I used to..well..still am a fan." "But how do you know that's my favorite movie?" "You said it in one of your Q&A videos." "Oh yeah! Now I remember." He laughed. "Do you know anything else about me that I haven't mentioned?" He smirked. "Nope."

Yeah.. I totally lied. I just didn't want to freak him out.

I'm also so sorry I haven't updated these past few days.! I'm thinking .. Instead of updating it daily, I should update every other day or something.

Maybe Wednesday, and Sunday? I think I'm going to do that. (:
