They had arrived at the Logan residence. Garfield in front, opened the door and ushered them in, “It still looks the same, your mom decorating?” Chase asked the boy, who just chuckled at him, “Yeah, Mom gets random bursts of energy and thinks she can do everything… Also, I’ve only ever been in her office once and that was to see if that’s where she kept my christmas presents which she didn’t if you're wondering.”

“I wasn’t but thanks for telling me,” Gert told the two boys, taking off her shoes so as to not bring any sand into the house.

"Welcome," he greeted as he swung open the office door, which was surprisingly unlocked considering his mother's tendency to keep it closed when she wasn't around. The three teens stepped into the room, initially finding nothing suspicious. Bookshelves lined the walls, cluttered with haphazardly arranged paperwork and various knickknacks his mother had accumulated over the years.

"Just, you know, let me know if you spot anything unusual. And please make sure to put everything back where you found it; she can tell," he added.

The study was spacious, suggesting it would take some time to sift through and uncover any information about what PRIDE was involved in. "For such a large room, it feels oddly cramped," Gert remarked, shifting some items around before returning them to their original positions. "She's always busy. If she's not at work, she's in here," Garfield commented, blowing on some books and sending a cloud of dust swirling through the air.

Chase called over the other two as he found something unusual,“Hey, come check this shit out,” both teens walked over to where Chase stood near the desk. “Oh, god. Why does your mom have pictures of that?” Gert spoke, holding her stomach.

A large weird shaped creature could be seen through the gaps of its iron cage, its form was a sculpted mass of thorns, spikes and layers of green rubber like substance as its skin. Its four devilish pupils burned with a light that might have been made by an amber laser whilst surrounded by glossy darkness. The long jaw revealed layers of jagged pincer-like teeth, the picture itself being the stuff of nightmares.

“That’s..eerie as fuck, dude,” Garfield mumbled as the two stared at the words and pictures on the paper.

“I thought your mom was a Doctor?” Chase barely dared to ask as he moved around some more papers, picking some of them up to read what was on them, “Is your mom experimenting on animals or something?” Gert questioned Garfield, but he stood still, unsure with how to respond, “I mean yeah she’s a doctor but I don’t really know any med schools that teach you how to do that.” he states and turned to make his way out of the study.

Gert and Chase looked at each other and quickly left the study, closing the door behind them. Garfield couldn't process what he just saw, random thoughts running through his mind, “Bee, you okay?” Chase placed a hand on his shoulder, “Yeah, I’m good. I think we should head to your place now though,” he reassured, all of them collectively agreeing, freaked out by what they had found.

The Stein residence made Garfield look like an ant in comparison. So as he walked down the marble halls of a house fit for more than a family of three Garfield felt small. He hated feeling small, when in fact he believes himself to be tall as he is taller than Chase funnily enough.

“You're all clear,” Gert announces, peering back into the workshop.

“You said that two seconds ago,” Chase whispers looking at the purple headed girl by ducking behind a shelf.

“I was providing you with an update, Jock Jams,” Gert replies walking into the room and away from the glass door where she had been standing as a look out.
