The room was bathed in the soft glow of the TV screen, casting a warm ambiance over the space. Two boys, Cyborg and Beast boy, sprawled comfortably on bean bags, were engrossed in an intense gaming session. The rhythmic clicking of controllers and occasional bursts of laughter created a symphony of frienship. Or Bro-timeee.

The sound of gunfire and explosions echoed from the virtual battlefield as the duo navigated through a digital world of pixels and excitement. The air was filled with a blend of concentration and the easy banter that came with years of friendship.

Garfield Logan, a lanky teenager with unruly hair and a penchant for strategic games, furrowed his brow as he focused on the screen. On the other side, Victor Stone, known for his quick reflexes and infectious laughter, leaned forward, eyes locked on the action unfolding before them.

"Dude, cover me! I'm going in for the flag!" Victor exclaimed, his fingers dancing over the controller buttons with practised precision.

Garfield grinned, responding with a confident nod. "I got your back, man. Let's do this!"

As the digital battle intensified, the room filled with the rhythmic tapping of buttons and the occasional whoops of triumph. The virtual warfare seemed to spill over into the physical realm as both boys leaned into their movements, their faces mirroring the intensity on the screen.

A particularly explosive moment in the game prompted raucous laughter from Victor. "Did you see that? Epic takedown, right?"

Garfield chuckled, "Yeah, yeah, that was pretty slick. But watch this!" He executed a skillful manoeuvre, taking down multiple opponents in quick succession.

Their laughter echoed through the room, creating an atmosphere of shared joy. In between matches, the boys took a moment to relax, sinking deeper into their bean bags, controllers temporarily at rest.

"Man, this is life," Victor said, stretching his arms above his head. "No homework, no stress, just pure gaming bliss."

Garfield nodded in agreement, a contented smile playing on his lips. "Absolutely. Nothing beats chilling with a good game but me and you both know we have homework to do."

“Shhh don’t ruin the moment.”

“Okay, Okay I won’t but I am gonna-” a call interrupted his sentence, it was Nico.

He cleared his throat and tried to sound as normal as possible, “Hey, Nicky, What’s up?” he asked her casually with the sounds of gunfire and explosions as his background noise, “What? Slow down - shit, I’ll be there.” He almost face planted off the bean bag trying to get up.

“Dude? You good?”  Victor had asked as he paused the game, “Yeah, man something came up. Is it alright if I go check it out and come back?” Garfield answers hoping Victor won’t be mad at him for cutting their gaming night a tad too short for how they usually do it.

“Yeah. Yeah, no worries as long as everything is okay,” Victor responds worriedly to his friend, “And do you honestly have to ask if you can come back? You know you're welcome anytime idiot.”

“Yeh, I know it doesn’t hurt to ask though.”

“It’s okay, Bro..I get it. Go do what you gotta do, see ya in a bit,” Victor replied kindly as Garfield nodded, quickly slipping on his trainers, escaping through the window so as to not disturb Victor’s mother from her nap and making his way to Timely Coffee to meet his old friends.

“Finally! Are you ready to go?” Nico asked impatiently, eager to get going to find Alex and save him from his captors.
