Kol gasped in surprise as the candles lit, he stared at Lexi wide-eyed "holy shit Lex, you were right it seems."
She grinned "I don't know what it was but something was just telling me that it was right, like an instinct or something."
Kol furrowed his brow knowing that the only person who could have done that before he realized that he still had his magic would have been his mother, she would have been able to sense it as soon as the transition into a vampire was complete. But what he couldn't grasp was why she would do that. "Well then the only person that could have possibly done that was my mother but I can't figure out why she would do that... I mean yeah she was a shit mum, but my magic kept me grounded and then she told me that she could no longer feel the magic in me after I completed my transition into a vampire... I can't figure why she would do that for the life of me knowing how important my magic was to me."
Lexi bit her lip and shrugged, "she had no clue, but was happy that she could help, bring back a part of the original he thought he had lost forever. "I don't know Kol.. but at least it turned out to be a lie and you can once again practice magic."
He laid his hands on her shoulders, smiling at the brunette girl, "Yeah, thanks to you, Lex."
She shrugged it off, "Happy I could help." then he hugged he, making Lexi smile as she felt that same warm feeling from earlier shoot through her... she quite liked that feeling if she were being honest but it also confused her since she had felt it until after she had discovered her siphoning ability and siphoning that spell from Kol, "I do have one question though Kol."
"What is it Lex?" though he had an idea of the question, he wanted to make sure that he was right before answering on the odd chance it wasn't related to the feeling that he had felt around the feisty brunette since she siphoned the spell off him.
"Okay so, ever since earlier, after I completely siphoned the spell from you, it was like a warmth enveloped me and then it awoke this weird feeling that made me think that me finding you in that warehouse wasn't just a coincidence."
Kol nodded at her, that was exactly what he was expecting her question to be about, "well it's complicated, Lex but I will try to explain things the best I can, it's been a while since I've read that particular grimoire, but it states that basically every supernatural being has a soulmate but it's not common knowledge and because of a jealous witch, who's fiance met their soulmate and ran away with them and it wasn't her, she cast a curse that, made it nearly impossible for soulmates to meet, though it has happened a few times over the centuries, it's extremely rare."
Lexi nodded letting him know she was listening, "so that feeling means that we're soulmates then?"
"Exactly I knew what it meant as soon as the feeling registered and was contemplating how to approach the subject, being alive for as long as I have though being daggered as much as I have also hasn't helped but I never thought I'd experience that feeling."
"So pretty much even though I didn't know about magic or anything something drew me to duck into that warehouse and find you?"
"I guess so, even though you had no clue you were supernatural as soon as you were close enough the bond that was dormant probably blocked by the spell you siphoned off, drew you to find me even though we were both unaware of it then."
Lexi nodded, "Yeah okay, makes sense."
Kol chuckled, he was surprised at just how well Lexi was taking all of this information.
A while later the two decided to turn in for the night since they were going to be spending the next day training.
Lexi's mind was reeling at the new information that she was given, she wasn't really phased since everything that had happened over the last few days ensured that nothing could surprise her anymore.
