Y/n's POV

(TRIGGER WARNING: TORTURE)

A room that reeks of blood. I already forgot how long it has been since I left the dining room, they only gave me dinner. No breakfast, lunch whatsoever on the next day. They give me a bath though and new clothes. They're treating me like shit. I also haven't heard from Jia. Speaking of Jia...

I can't feel her in the upper floors. She's probably locked up somewhere. I'm surprised none of those monsters have visited me yet. Including that veiled woman with the crazy doll. I got up from the bed and walked over to the door. Obviously, locked. I sighed and laid hands on the door knob, letting my weave seep through the mechanism of the lock and within a few seconds, a clink sound came from the outside and I finally got the door open. Piece of cake.

I stepped out of the room carefully, trying to make up the dark rooms. I came across a tea table  with a sofa set. A bowl with fruits that are probably fake in the center and a few teacups and a kettle. There's even a black laced garment on the side of the sofa. Ew.

I passed by another door and in came the dark hallway. I've seen ancient castles before but I didn't know about the amount of doors in just one portion to be exhausting and redundant. I don't want my house to have too many doors.

"Ah here it is. The four statues of female angels with no faces," I said. "Now which way to the basement?"

Author's POV

Jia paced back and forth inside her cage. The wine cellar was the last place she wanted to be in. Her feet and knees soaked in either blood or wine. Her hair disheveled after being pulled around by the three sisters. Plus the distant murmurs of the monsters dwelling with her down there.

"Hey little girl. I brought something for you!"

A swarm of flies came in front of her cage and formed into a person. A yellow stone glowing on her choker.

"Mother told me to bring you something to eat," she smirked. "I'm Cassandra."

Cassandra tossed a loaf of bread onto the floor inside the cage, letting it float in the red water.

"Enjoy." She said before turning back into a swarm of flies and flying out of the cellar. Laughing maniacally.

Jia picked up the loaf and shivered in disgust. She blurts out a vomit noise but immediately covers her mouth and looks around before throwing the bread out of the cage.

"I wish Y/n was here." She whispers into thin air.

Perfect timing, Jia held onto the bars of her cage and suddenly, the padlock shook by itself and dropped to the ground.

"Jia." A voice whispered.

"Y/n?!"

"Shhh! Come out."

Jia stepped out and immediately wrapper her arms around the older woman.

"Are you hurt?" Y/n asked.

"No. But I think I have a headache."

Y/n held onto Jia's face. "Okay, listen to me. I'm gonna get you out of here, alright? I want you to stay calm and quiet. Do you understand?"

"But what about you?" Jia asked.

Y/n didn't answer and grabbed her by the hand, leading her out of the cellar. The dwelling monsters with swords were dealt with by Y/n's weave before they could touch them. They ran all throughout the hallways until Y/n saw a slightly open window that leads out of the castle and into the snow.
