He went inside to check out from which phone the notification was from and it was from Sonic's a message from Tails.

"Oh, Tails texted, Knuckles's party is gonna be tomorrow at 5:30 pm, you coming?" Sonic peeked out Shadow's room's doorway and awaited for his reply. Shadow smiled softly and nodded while Sonic did too, walking back to the bathroom to shower.
