Wakanda

The sound of children's laughter filled the air as Shuri stood outsides the huts in a confined part of the city. Children came out from one of the huts and ran to her.

"Are you playing around with that man again?", she asked them playfully, her thick accent evident in her voice.

"No", they quickly replied.

"You're teasing him again. Don't wake him. He must rest", Shuri told them with a smile.

As the girl kept talking with the kids a man slowly came out of the hut. He had long hair and his beard had also grown a bit. He had his missing arm wrapped in a blue cloth around his shoulder abdomen he was wearing a red Wakandan cloth on his body. The kids had began calling him the White Wolf.

He looked around, peace written on his face as he watched the beautiful place he had found himself in. For the last four months he had been in the cryo and ever since he got out, almost three weeks earlier, all he had ever thought of was the woman he loved.

He sighed and slowly walked to Shuri who was still outside his hut as the kids ran away to play.

"Good morning, Sergeant Barnes", she greeted him with a smile.

"Bucky", he told her and she nodded with a smile.

"How are you feeling?", she asked him.

"Good", he told her truthfully. "Thank you", he the told her and Shuri simply smiled at him before speaking up again.

"There's someone for you", she told him and then moved her gaze to the lake near those huts.

He followed her gaze only to find a woman, giving him his back. His breath got caught in his throat as he watched her brunette hair fly in the small wind. Shuri smiled at him before starting to walk away, giving him some privacy.

He slowly started walking to the woman. He watched her black leather jacket and her black jeans, a small smile forming on his face. He immediately knew who it was without needing to see her face.

When he reached her he went to stand by her side. She was looking out at the calm water of the lake. She turned to her and took in her appearance. She looked tired, but somehow at peace. He could see some bruises and healed cuts on her skin and he assumed she had multiple fights in the past four months.

"This place really is beautiful", she spoke up first as she kept looking at the lake.

"Yeah, it's peaceful", he said as he also turned his gaze to the lake. A small comfortable silence followed and the woman turned to him.

"Are you okay?", she asked him with a small smile.

"I'm fine", he assured her, turning again to look at her, locking his bright blue eyes with her dark brown ones. "What happened, Cameron?"

The woman, Cameron, sighed and looked down at Bucky's question. A small smile appeared on her face when she looked up at him again.

"Well, I finally managed to put an ended to the Red Room and kill Dreykov once and for all. The Widows are free. It's over. And I, uh, also managed to reunite one of my messed up families", she told him with a small smile.

"How do you feel now?", he asked her.

"Fine, at peace", she told him truthfully before turning back to him. "There's only one thing missing."

Bucky chuckled and looked down, he had missed her so much. When he looked back down at her a genuine smile formed on his lips.

"So, what now?", he asked her.

"I don't really know, I guess for once we can let fate decide", she told him honestly. Bucky nodded and then they both moved their gazes back to the lake. Then he slowly moved his right hand to Cameron's and when he touched it she didn't waste time to wrap hers around his.

A new era was about to begin.
