THEY ALL WALKED slowly to the time machine, now wearing their suits and over them the specialised suits they were using for the time travel. Cameron was walking beside Tony and Natasha. Under the time travel suit she was wearing a black one she had burrowed from Nat.
The two sisters were getting ready together earlier and Natasha decided to give Cameron both Yelena's vest and her white belt (which she had kept ever since Cameron had left it in Wakanda). She wanted her to have them since she didn't have the chance to have something to keep her close to Yelena in some way.
Under her suit she still had Bucky's dog tags. She always did, but that day they felt even heavier around her neck. They reminded her who she was doing it for and they gave her the strength she needed.
Once they stepped on the time machine and got ready Steve began to make a speech to get everyone ready.
"Five years ago, we lost. All of us. We lost friends. We lost family. We lost a part of ourselves. Today, we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams. You know your missions. Get the stones. Get them back. One round each. No mistakes, no do-overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know. That doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be careful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives and we're gonna win it. Whatever it takes. Good luck", Steve said solemnly.
"He's pretty good at that", Rocket commented once he was done.
"Right?", Scott replied with a surprised smile.
"All right. You heard the man. Stroke those keys, Jolly Green", Tony told Bruce who was working on the time machine to get it ready.
"Trackers engaged", Bruce replied.
While Rocket and Clint talked Tony took his chance to talk with Cameron.
"Hey, try to come back in one piece", he told her.
