ꕥ Lorelei looked at the sky as she walked over to Percy's cabin.
The weather was odd.
She was about to knock on the door when she found a newspaper by the doorway. She picked it up. She scoffed as she began reading.
"What's that?" A voice came from behind her, causing her to turn and smack the person in the arm with the newspaper.
Percy rubbed his arm and frowned. "Ow, witch bitch."
"Maybe you shouldn't go creeping up on people, then."
"You're standing outside my cabin."
"And? That changes nothing."
Percy chuckles and nods his head at the newspaper in her hands. "What's it say?"
Lorelei looked at the newspaper, rolling up and shrugging. "No idea. Hey, aren't you supposed to go to the big house?"
Percy nodded. "Come with?"
Lorelei sighed. She threw the newspaper into the nearest shadow, and Percy watched it disappear. "Might as well. I got nothing better to do."
She had walked him over to the big house before bounding away, saying something about having to steal—borrow rain boots so she could jump in hypothetical puddles later.

After an invigorating conversation with Mr. D, Percy was sent up to the attic to receive a prophecy.
Which he would not recommend doing. Really, it gave him the creeps.
Hey came downstairs and told Chiron he needed Lorelei, who nodded and had Grover go and find her.
She skipped into the room after a few minutes and smiled. "I have been summoned by a higher power?"
"Lorelei, there you are," Chiron said, smiling. He motioned to an empty chair. "Come sit."
Lorelei let her eyes wander over the group suspiciously as she sat down.
"Why am I here?" She asked plainly.
"Percy has been issued a quest, and it seems to directly refer to you," Chiron explained.
"A quest?" Lorelei asked, her eyes falling on the son of Poseidon. "What did it say about me?"
"Percy, why don't you recite the prophecy out for us again?" Chiron asked.
Percy shifted uncomfortably in his chair as all eyes landed on him again. He cleared his throat.
"Um. You shall go west and face the god who has turned. You shall find what was stolen and see it safely returned."
Percy stopped as he saw an emotion pass through Lorelei's eyes as she heard the first line of the prophecy, and her jaw clenched. She motioned with her hand to keep going.
"Daughter of death, son of sea," Percy continued. "The fates have intertwined their destiny. To begin a tale with a fate so frail, our fates without them shall surely fail."
Lorelei leans back in her chair, crossing her arms, her eyebrows furrowed in thought.
"Is that all? It sounds like there should be more?" She asked Percy.
Percy didn't want to tell her. So he didn't.
"Nope," he said. "That's about it, star girl."
