Ding dong.

That's the doorbell. Although I don't know why Ruth is ringing the doorbell, she kinda lives here...

I answer it and instead of Ruth, I see a brunette with two little blondes at her feet, "Hi, sorry. We're having troubles getting Jordyn out of the car so it's me and the twins for now." the woman said, she had a thick Irish accent, "I'm Kate, Ruth's Mammy."

"Hi, come in! Ruth tells me so much about you guys. She really loves you. Oh, I'm Tammy, by the way."

"Lovely to meet you, Tammy. These are my twins, Billie and Danny." she gestures to the little blondes taking off their shoes. Aw, they're so cute.

"Hi," one of them looks up at me with a smile, "I'm Danny. I wear blue. Billie wears red." she gestured to their shirts.

"That's the observation for today. They don't strictly wear just red and blue." Kate chuckles, taking off her shoes.

"Do you guys wanna go sit in the living room?"

"That'd be grand." Kate nodded. I take them to sit on the couch.

"Can I get you guys anything to drink? My Mom's just in the kitchen." I offer.

"Could I have a glass of water please? I've got drinks for the kids because they're all very specific with what they drink out of."

"Yeah, of course." I nod.

"Are they here?" Mom asks when I came into the kitchen and got a glass.

"Some of them. They're just trying to get one of the kids out of the car."

"I see. I'll be out in a minute. I'm just going to finish these noodles and I'll be right there."

"What are you making?"

"Well, I figured that Ruth's family likes food from all sorts of cultures so I did a bit of everything. I've got Mexican, Chinese, Indian, of course, Thai, Korean and I'm going to try and make Welsh cakes. I Googled some foods from Ruth's culture and decided that I'll make Welsh cakes for dessert."

The thing about my Mom is that she is a fast cook and she can pretty much cook with anything. She tries to keep our cupboards full and always tries something new.

"That sounds great." I say filling up Kate's glass.

"Do you think I should brew some coffee?"

"Maybe." I shrug as I leave.

I hand Kate her water and she thanks me. Just then, Ruth came in with the rest of her family got on her heel. Ruth was carrying a small brunette with brown eyes. She seemed a bit fidgety in her arms but she was so cute.

"Hi," Ruth smiled at me, she came up to me and kissed my lips quickly, "You look nice."

"Thanks." I look her up and down and see that she's changed as well. She's no wearing a dark purple polo shirt with black jeans, "You do too."

"We're good at this matching thing aren't we?"

"So amazing." I chuckle.

"Yeah, this is Jordyn. She's a bit hangry. Jordie, say hi to Tammy."

"Hi, Tammy." Jordyn mumbled.

"Aw, hi, Jordyn. It's very nice to meet you."

Jordyn eyes me for a bit before stretching her arms out to me, "Hold," she demanded.

"She wants you to hold her." Ruth said, "Is that okay?"

"Yeah, of course. Come say hi." I smile as I take Jordyn from Ruth. She immediately hugged into my neck and held me tight. It made me pout at Ruth as I bounced the little girl.

"She's so cute." Ruth smiled, "So, I assume that you've met my Mom and Billie and Danny."

"Yeah, Billie wears red and Danny wears blue." I nod to the girls who smile proudly at me.

"Yeah. This is my Mama, Christina." Ruth motioned to the other tall blonde. She had blue eyes and her skin was darker than Ruth's and she was about two inches taller than her.

"Hi," Christina waved. I noticed that the whole family had taken their shoes off st the front door and it made me grin, "It's lovely to meet you, Tammy."

"You too," I nod to the tall woman.

"That's my twin sister, Zoey." Ruth motioned to what looked like an older version of Jordyn. She was a little taller than Ruth and she only smiled in greeting, "and then my little sister, Bennie."

"Hi!" Bennie waved.

"It's lovely to meet you all. Ruth talks about you all the time." I smile at the family.

"She's a sweetheart." Christina pouted before forcefully hugging my girlfriend.

"Ah! Okay, Mama!" Ruth squealed as Christina tickled her. Just then, Phoebe and Isaac cam down the stairs. Isaac was wearing a polo shirt and Phoebe had put on a nice dress.

"Since when did you have a kid?" Isaac asked.

"This is Jordyn, Ruth's little sister." I answer.

"Oh, I see."

"This is my brother, Isaac, and my sister, Phoebe."

Mom soon joined us and she was taken aback by how many people were suddenly in her house but she made her rounds anyway. Jordyn stuck to me the whole time and I have to admit, I don't think I'll ever put her down.

"You okay?" Ruth asked as I sat down next to her, placing Jordyn in my lap.

"Yeah. I think I have a new best friend."

"It certainly seems that way." Ruth chuckled, kissing Jordyn's head.

"Loud." Jordyn whines, putting her hands over her ears.

"Is it a bit loud, Jordie?" Ruth asked.

"I'll take her upstairs." I say.

"Yeah, I'll come with. I'll get her headphones from my Mom."

I took Jordyn upstairs while Ruth spoke to her Mom. I take the girl to my room and set her on the bed.

"Better." she smiled, taking her hands away from her ears. Ruth came in with headphones and offered them to her sister, "No, fanks." she shook her head.

"Jordie, it's thanks. Th- th- thanks." Ruth corrected her.

"Th- thanks!" she threw her hands in the air when she said it. We celebrated and Jordyn was really proud of herself.

"Yay! You did it! Well done, Jordie!" I say to her.

"Thanks!" she beamed.

"She's so cute." I pout to Ruth.

"I know. She's the cutest little thing ever."

"Yeah." Jordyn giggled to herself.
