Chapter 7

Sam's Pov

Kanina ko pa tinitignan si Sho at hinahaplos-haplos niya sugat niya. I leaned closer to whisper in his ear while our professor discusses our lecture.

"Ano ba? ayan ba yung hindi nagpapahalata?" bulong ko sa kaniya.

"it hurts, what can I do?" bulong niya rin sa akin pabalik.

Napailing nalang ako sa kaniya at nakinig na rin sa dicussion, dinadaldal naman ako ni Sofia at tumatango tango lang ako sa kaniya. After a while, we heard the bell ring at tumayo na rin ako nang banggain ako ng isang babae na kaklase namin muntik pa nga ako matumba eh pero buti nalang napahawak ako sa desk.

"excuse me?" umikot ako para harapin siye pero tinapat niya lang yung kamay niya sa harap ko obviously dismissing me, okay what?

"Hi Li!" she uttered with enthusiasm, pero naputol naman ang sasabihin niya sana nang magsalita si Sho.

"Li?" ani niya.

"yeah, that's what this girl calls you, hindi ba?" tinuro ako nang babae gamit ang hinlalaki niya while being so smiley.

"yup, but just call me Sho" napangiti siya ng pilit, pilit pa nga HAHAHAHA

Inirapan ko nalang yung babae at umalis na dahil hinatak na rin ako ni Sofia, diyos ko, ano ba 'tong babaeng 'to.

"That's Chandy, can you believe me if I said na she's the most chaka girl in this school? like— kunwari queen bee gano'n"  napatawa nalang ako sa sinabi niya.

"It's true! I swear" tumawa lang kami pero hindi ko napansin at nabangga ko ang professor namin.

"aray!" natumba si Magnus... I think his ankle got sprained.

"Kuya!" Napasigaw si Sofia at nilapitan agad si Magnus.

"kuya?" I uttered.

"yes kuya, I mean pakitawag si Kuya, yung janitor, para ma-assist niya si sir" ani ni Sofia habang tinuturo yung janitor ng school, lumabas naman ako para sa tawagin yung janitor at saktong papalayo palang siya sa room namin.

"kuya, tulong please, pakitulungan nalang si Sir Ortega to the clinic ha, thanks" sambit ko at tumango naman siya.

"I'm very sorry prof" I looked at him and apologized, tumango naman siya sa akin.

As he got escorted by the janitor papuntang clinic ng school, tumingin naman ako kay Sofia.

"Crush mo ba si prof? parang concerned na concerned ka ah?" tumingin lang sa'kin Sofia habang ngumingiwi.

"Girl? ew, kadiri ka, he's our prof" imik niya naman.

"Okay okay, so defensive" ani ko naman at pumunta nalang sa cafeteria.

As we walked in the corridors nakita namin yung headmistress na inaalalayan yung headmaster namin maglakad, he was limping. I haven't noticed when I narrowed my eyes at them, posible ba na yung headmistress yung nakita ko kagabi? but what is she doing outside? yung headmaster ba  yung nabaril ni Sho? if so, why would they harm their own students?

"HUY! kanina pa kita kinakausap ano tinititigan mo sila Sho at Chandy, yiee nagseselos ka 'no?" ngumiwi lang ako at napatingin sa kaniya nang maibalik ako sa wisyo ng boses niya, I didn't notice that I was spacing out already at hindi na pala yung mag asawa na head yung tinitignan ko.

"you're being so disgusting right now, hindi ko siya type" sagot ko sa kaniya at nagsimulang maglakad ulit at hinabol naman ni Sofia yung bilis ng lakad ko.

"Wait up naman!" she uttered.

Sho's Pov

We stood up from our seats after the bell rang and our professor dismissed the class, I heard an irritated voice saying, 'excuse me?', I turned to face the person, it was Sam, but someone blocked her from my sight, and it was one of our block mates.

"Hi Li!" she uttered with joy, Li? but Sam's the only one calling me that? Sam was about to talk when this girl put up a hand in front of her cutting her off and dismissing her.

"Li?" I repeated.

"Yeah, that's what this girl calls you, hindi ba?" She pointed Sam with her thumb.

"Yup, but just call me Sho" I smiled timidly not really in the mood to socialize, masakit pa sugat ko, socializing is the least thing I wanted to do now.

I saw Sam rolled her eyes at the girl in front of me as Sofia pulled her to go. 

"Right, hi, I'm Chandy but you can just call me darling" the girl introduced herself, nakuha pang bumanat but then I heard someone yelped in pain as I saw it was Magnus... our prof and Sam was the one who accidentally stumbled upon him, I was about to help when the annoying girl stopped me.

"Oh, don't worry about them, so? sasama ka ba sa cafeteria? sabay tayo mag lunch! my treat" she spoke.

"pwede tayo mag sabay but I can definitely pay for my meals but thanks anyway" still not paying attention to her and walked out to go to the cafeteria, I saw Sam and Sofia stopped in the middle of the corridors, Sam looked like she was analyzing and deeply thinking about something as Sofia tried snapping her out from her thoughts. 

I was about to stop and talk to them when the annoying girl snaked her arm around my arm and pulled me to walk to the cafeteria and I couldn't do anything about it, so I just rolled my eyes.

"Can you let go of my arm please? ang init eh" I uttered as I pulled my arm away from her.

"Oh right, sorry I was clinging onto you" she apologized. Tsk, para kang tuko.

We took our meal and paid for them while finding a seat for the two of us. As we were walking there was a girl with glasses that was going to the direction where we are from and then Chandy decided to trip her.

"oops" Chandy uttered.

"Why did you do that out of the blue?" I called her out.

"What? I didn't do anything" she denied.

"You know what? you're a dumb, immature and self-centered woman, I'm out of here" inis na sabi ko at tinalikuran siya, I helped the girl up and walked away after the girl thanked me, I don't like girls like Chandy, she's not my cup of tea.

"Wait! come back!" She yelled and I heard her stomp her foot, really? she's throwing tantrums? that's funny.

Timing, Sam and Sofia just entered the cafeteria. I stopped beside Sam habang nakapila sila to buy their meals.

"What?" masungit niya akong tinignan.

"Sabay ako sa inyo" I uttered; Sam gave me a side-eye from head to toe.

"What? just tell me that you don't want me to join, and I'll eat alone" hindi niya ako pinansin, she just sighed and ignored me, bastos.

"Why don't you go eat with Chandy darling~" She spoke at may tono pa.

I stopped myself from laughing when she imitated how Chandy spoke to me earlier when she introduced herself.

"I didn't know you heard that" I teased and chuckled.

"She was flirty as heck, what makes you think that we couldn't hear her? right Sof?" She nudged Sofia by the arm.

"Huh? hindi ko 'yon narinig, ikaw lang yata eh, nagseselos ka ata" Sofia denied and I laughed.

"Jealous huh? oh look, you're blushing" I teased even more.

"sa galit 'yan Li, hindi sa kilig, kaya umayos ka at baka masapak kita" she rolled her eyes and took a tray while I backed away and stifle a laugh.
