Sho's Pov
"Baka nainis siya sa'yo, chismoso ka kasi" Warren uttered... kung 'di ko lang kaibigan 'to baka sinapak ko na.
"I was just helping the junior, she was treating him poorly, paano kung nabalian 'yon?" I defended.
"Bro, kilala natin si Agent Sam, 'di niya naman gagawin 'yon ng basta basta lang, gano'n na ba kababaw tingin mo sa kaniya?" Jairo said joining the conversation.
"She's been getting on my nerves lately, it feels like we are in this never-ending competition, especially the fact that we are both aiming to be the top agent" I answered.
"I don't know man, pero pareho naman kayong malakas eh, I admit when it comes to combats ikaw ang lamang pero alam naman siguro nating lahat na mas lamang siya sa strategy at techniques" Warren responded.
The three of us decided to gather here sa pantry ng corporation, they were having coffee while I just stood next to the door with arms crossed against my chest. We were cut off when Agent Sue, Sam's best friend, walked in.
"Uy? nandito kayong tatlo ah, may chismis ba?" she uttered while trying to get something to eat and faced us, obviously curious about what we are talking about.
"Wala Sue, kunin mo nalang 'yan at lumayas ka na, gayahin mo kasi si Sam, hindi chismosa" Jairo responded and tried pushing Sue outside.
"Ay aba bastos, alam ko na, bina-backstab niyo ako kaya mo'ko pinapaalis!" We heard Sue's retort to Jairo as he pushed her away from the pantry and came back somehow dusting his hands with a satisfied took on his face.
I just shook my head because of their childish behavior.
Sam's Pov
"What happened sa junior agent mo sis at bakit si Sho yung nagdala sa kaniya sa clinic ng corporation kanina?" Bungad sa'kin ni Sue habang may kinakain.
"Nakatikim lang kung pa'no mahatak" sagot ko naman sa kaniya at ibinalik ang atensyon ko sa monitor, may mga files kaming dapat i-check from time to time.
Naramdaman kong pumunta si Sue sa likod ko at sumilip din sa monitor ko.
"Walang project na binigay yung head sa'yo?" Tanong ko sa kaniya at umiling naman siya habang naupo na sa desk niya.
"Waley, lagi naman eh, puro inspections lang pinapagawa" Sagot ni Sue.
We talked and talked about different topics dahil nga wala na rin kaming magawa at tapos na rin kami nang may dumaan na juniors.
"Hindi mo ba narinig yung balita? yung sa Solstice Academy" ani nila habang napatingin lang kami ni Sue sa kanila at hindi nalang ito pinansin.
"Must be another gossip" puna ko at hinayaan nalang ang narining namin habang tumango lang si Sue.
As we continued talking, narinig ko ang pangalan ko na isinambit ng tao sa likod ko, hinarap ko siya at tumayo agad nang makita kong secretary ito ng head namin.
"Agent Aoki, you are being summoned by the director with Agent Li, ikaw na bahala tumawag sa kaniya, asap, the director needs you there in ten minutes" ani niya at umalis pabalik sa opisina niya as I rolled my eyes.
I have to deal with him again. I turned around to face Sue and sighed.
"Nakita mo ba si Li?" Tanong ko sa kaniya.
"Sa pantry sila kanina tatlo nina Agent Jairo at Agent Warren" tumango nalang ako at pinasalamatan siya, matapos ay umalis na papuntang pantry.
"Excuse me? oh, hello Agents, may I ask where Agent Li is?" nang makarating na sa pantry sina Warren at Jairo lang ang nadatnan ko kaya tinanong ko nalang.
"I'm here" may sumagot sa likod ko and of course, it was Li.
"The director is summoning us according to Miss Tiu" ani ko at umalis na, hindi ko na hinintay ang sagot niya and I heard his frustrated sigh while I just rolled my eyes.
Sho's Pov
I sighed frustratedly and followed her as we made our way to the office of the head of our corporation.
I knocked on the door before Samantha could as we heard the director say 'come in' giving us permission.
"Good afternoon, Sir, Miss Tiu told us that we are being summoned by you?" I spoke as the director sat on his swivel chair and looked at us as Samanta and I stood side by side.
"Right, take a seat agents" He nodded as I sat on the chair in front of the director's desk, same goes for Samantha who was silently obeying.
"I am hoping that both of you heard the news about Solstice Academy?" the director stated and I raised my eyebrow hearing the familiar name of the school, it's the school owned by the close friends of my mother.
"Uh... I haven't heard anything, sir" I uttered cluelessly.
"I've heard about it from the juniors, but I don't know what's the matter at hand" Sam finally decided to speak.
"For the past months, our agency has been receiving reports about the school wherein their students keep on going missing one by one and after a few days, they would be found dead...but recently, it got worse, marami nang namamatay and they would be found dead inside their dorm room" the director continued.
"Are there any further information about it? bakit ngayon lang nabalita?" I asked and the director shrugged.
"Possibly the school pays the media to shut up about it para 'di masira reputasyon ng school" Samantha spoke.
"But why are we being summoned?" She added.
"I called both of you here kasi alam kong you would be a great pair for this mission, no deadline or due whatsoever, just get to the bottom of this and try to find the culprit or culprits, so... do you accept this mission?" the director asked.
I decided to accept the mission not because I am sure that this would be a great promotion for me, but also, I wanted to help my mom's close friends, it's been also a while to get projects like these.
"I'm down with this mission, Sir" I nodded at him as he did the same and looked at Sam who was silent since earlier.
"What about you, Agent Aoki? are you down?" the director asked Sam.
Sam's Pov
Ilang buwan na sila nakakatanggap ng reports pero bakit ngayon lang nila napagisipan na gawan ng paraan? students go missing and then makikitang wala ng buhay? ganitong-ganito ang pagkawala ni papa, I won't let anyone to experience the same.
They continued talking about the matter at hand and I didn't dare to utter any word ngunit nabalik ako sa wisyo nang tanungin ako ng head namin.
"What about you Agent Aoki? are you down? tanong nito.
"Huh? yeah, 'yun lang ba?" ani ko at tumayo na nang tumango ang head namin, tinignan lang naman ako ni Sho at sumabay na rin sa'kin paalis.
