(Flashback)

As the region's completion draws near, Alice leans in, her eyes reflecting curiosity. "So, how do you propose we tackle the Starter Pokemon's quest?" she asks.

Ash's face lights up with excitement as he reaches into his bag, pulling out a neatly written list. "I've been brainstorming some ideas," he replies. "First, we'll establish three distinct stations—one in Greeny City, another in Oceablu City, and the last in Fiero City. Each station will handle nine unique requests."

Alice nods thoughtfully. "Ah, that makes sense," she remarks, her gaze drifting to the distance as she considers the significance of the number nine, correlating it with the variety of starter Pokemon available in the region.

"Let's start with Bulbasaur in the Greeny Garden," Ash explains, pointing to the first item on the list. "It's known to rest peacefully there. However, there's a catch—you'll need at least 12 badges to earn its trust and have a chance to obtain it."

(Author's note: In the game, players must first defeat Team Rainbow at RPA High to access Bulbasaur. It can then be found in the lush garden surrounding Greeny Gym.)

Alice chimes in, her eyes lighting up with recognition. "Ah, and don't forget about Chikorita at the FS Resort," she adds, tapping her finger on the second item on the list. "Once you've earned Max's badge, Chikorita will be more than willing to join your journey."

"Exactly," Ash affirms with a nod. "Now, for Treecko's quest, head over to RPA High School. You'll find Treecko lingering near the edge of the forest."

(Author's note: To acquire Treecko in the game, players must assemble a team of Eeveelutions without repeating any members.)

Alice's voice carries a hint of amusement as she elaborates on the next tasks. "Now, for Turtwig, you'll need to venture into the Cave of Compliments. It's nestled between RPA High and Quest Town," she explains. "To win Turtwig's favor, you'll have to sincerely compliment nine people within the cave. I must admit, Ash, that's quite an unusual quest you've devised."

"Compliments are like sunshine for the soul," Ash remarks with a warm smile. "Speaking of sunshine, to encounter a Snivy, you'll need to nurture the plants and adjust the artificial sunlight in the gym garden at Quest Town."

Alice's eyebrows raise in surprise at the next task. "And don't forget about Chespin," she adds. "You'll encounter it after your movie debut in Elmososha Town. Talk about a unique way to meet a Pokemon!"

Ash continues, his excitement palpable as he delves into the details of the remaining quests. "Now, for Rowlet, head to the serene Emerald Jungle. To win its trust, engage in a playful game where Rowlet faces four different directions," he explains with a grin.

Alice shakes her head in disbelief at the peculiar requirements for obtaining Grookey. "The method for acquiring Grookey is quite unconventional, don't you think? Positioned between Quest Town and Skyhigh City, you need an autograph from the 'Colors' Band. It's certainly an unexpected twist," she comments, her expression a mix of amusement and skepticism.

Ash defends the unique requirement with a chuckle. "Well, Grookey is a Pokemon with a musical flair, so it's fitting that its quest involves music in some way," he reasons.

"And don't overlook Sprigatito," Alice adds, shifting the focus to the next task. "Although it's also inside Golly's Gym, unlocking Sprigatito requires unraveling the seven mysteries of the Quest Gym Manor," she recalls with a nostalgic smile. "Those were quite the puzzles to solve."
