Olivia- No dad, we're not watching anything. You...you are telling me about your feelings. I saw how you looked at Lucy, when you handed her the jacket
Tim's heart sank as he realized he needed to address Olivia's perception of his relationship with Lucy. He took a deep breath, preparing himself for the conversation ahead.
Tim- Liv, about Lucy... She's just another boot to me. I don't have feelings for her.
Olivia's expression softened, her eyes searching her father's face for any hint of deception.
Tim's heart felt heavy as he saw the disappointment in Olivia's eyes, but he couldn't tell his daughter that he has feelings for her. He can't tell anyone.
Tim- Liv, I understand why you might think that, but it's not like that. Lucy is my trainee, and I do care about her, but not in the way you're thinking. I let her into our home because of you. You two have a special bond, and I want to support that. (He's a LYING LIAR. He loves her.)
Olivia's disappointment lingered, but she nodded slowly, accepting her father's explanation.
Olivia- Okay, Dad.
Tim offered his daughter a small, grateful smile, relieved that she seemed to understand.
Tim- Now, how about we pick out a movie and enjoy the rest of the evening together?
Olivia shifted slightly on the couch, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand.
Olivia- Actually, Dad, I'm feeling a bit tired. Do you mind if I go to bed?
Tim glanced at Olivia, noting the weariness in her demeanor.
Tim- Of course, sweetheart. Good night
Olivia- good night
Tim watched Olivia disappear down the hallway towards her room, a pang of concern tugging at his heart. He decided to give her a few moments before following after her, wanting to ensure she was settled for the night.
Quietly, Tim made his way to Olivia's room and gently pushed the door open. He found her curled up under the covers, her eyes closed as she drifted off to sleep.
Tim watched Olivia for a moment, feeling a rush of paternal affection as he saw her peaceful slumber. He approached her bedside, leaning down to brush a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Tim- Sleep tight, baby girl.
With those whispered words, Tim straightened up and quietly exited Olivia's room, pulling the door closed behind him.
As Tim left Olivia's room, his thoughts were consumed by the weight of his unspoken feelings for Lucy. He couldn't shake the turmoil stirring within him, knowing that his emotions were a tangled mess he couldn't unravel.
Walking to his own room, Tim couldn't help but replay the moments he had shared with Lucy earlier that evening. Her presence had a way of lighting up the room, and he found himself drawn to her in ways he couldn't fully comprehend.
But he quickly pushed those thoughts aside, reminding himself of his duty as Olivia's father and Lucy's superior. He couldn't afford to let his personal feelings jeopardize their relationships or his professionalism.
Entering his dimly lit bedroom, Tim let out a heavy sigh, sinking onto the edge of his bed. He ran a hand through his hair, grappling with the internal conflict that seemed to consume him.
Deep down, Tim knew he had to do something about his feelings for Lucy, but he has no idea how or what. He was torn between his responsibilities and the undeniable pull he felt towards her.
As he lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling in the darkness, Tim couldn't shake the nagging feeling that things between him and his little girl were about to change, whether he was ready for it or not. But for now, he pushed those thoughts aside, allowing exhaustion to finally claim him as sleep enveloped his troubled mind.
The following morning, Tim woke up with a sense of unease lingering in the back of his mind. As he went through his morning routine, the events of the previous evening replayed in his thoughts like a broken record.
Heading downstairs, Tim found Olivia already up and sitting in the kitchen. He offered her a tired smile, trying to push aside the weight of his internal turmoil.
Tim- Morning, sweetheart
Tim greeted, his voice carrying a hint of exhaustion.
Olivia glanced up from the stove, her expression softening as she noticed her father's tired demeanor.
Olivia- Morning, Dad
Olivia replied, concern evident in her voice.
Olivia- Are you okay?
Tim hesitated for a moment, debating whether to share his inner struggles with his daughter. But he quickly dismissed the idea, not wanting to burden her with his own issues.
Tim- I'm fine, just didn't sleep too well
Tim replied with a forced smile.
Tim- How about you? Did you sleep alright?
Olivia nodded, though Tim could sense there was more on her mind. He decided to let her broach the subject if she wanted to.
Tim- What do you want to eat
Olivia- could you make me some pancakes please?
Tim- sure, anything else?
Olivia- no
As Tim cooked the pancakes, the aroma of sizzling batter filled the kitchen, creating a cozy atmosphere. Olivia watched her father work, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
Tim returned her smile, flipping the pancakes with practiced ease and hands her a plate
Olivia- thank  you, dad
Tim- You're welcome, sweetheart
Tim replied warmly.
Tim- Anything for my little girl
They enjoyed their breakfast together, Tim couldn't shake the feeling that Olivia had something on her mind. As he packed her lunch while she was eating he decided to gently probe, wanting to give her the space to open up if she wanted to.
Tim- Is there anything you want to talk about, Livi?
Tim asked, his tone gentle and inviting.
Olivia hesitated for a moment, swirling her fork in the syrup on her plate. She glanced up at her father, her expression thoughtful.
Olivia- I... I'm not sure, Dad
Olivia admitted, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
Olivia- I guess I just have a lot on my mind lately.
Tim nodded understandingly, giving her a reassuring smile.
Tim- Well, you know you can always talk to me about anything, right?
Tim said, his tone filled with warmth and reassurance.
Tim- I'm here for you, no matter what.
Olivia- I know dad
Tim's smile widened at Olivia's response, grateful for the bond they shared.
Tim- Good,
He said, his voice gentle.
Tim- I just want to make sure you to know that, no matter what's going on, I'll always be here to listen and support you.
Olivia's eyes softened, a hint of gratitude shining through.
After Olivia finished her breakfast, Tim gently reminded her to get ready for school.
Tim- Alright, sweetheart
Tim said with a smile,
Tim- Time to get ready for another day of conquering the world.
Olivia chuckled softly, nodding as she pushed her empty plate aside.
As Olivia gathered her things and headed upstairs to get ready for school, Tim went to his room to take a quick shower before taking his daughter to school and heading to work.
After getting ready, Tim headed downstairs to find Olivia waiting by the door, her backpack slung over her shoulder and a smile on her face.
Olivia- took you long enough
Tim- I guess I'm just not as efficient as you, huh?
Olivia- no, you're not
Tim smiled back, feeling a surge of pride for his daughter as he grabbed his keys. Tim ruffled her hair affectionately before they headed out the door together, ready to start their day.
As Tim and Olivia drove to school, their car filled with the sound of their favorite tunes playing on the radio. Tim couldn't help but smile as Olivia belted out the lyrics, her enthusiasm infectious.
Tim- You've got quite the voice there
Olivia grinned, enjoying their daylight karaoke session as they cruised down the familiar streets.
Olivia- Thanks, but I can't say the same about you.
Tim laughed, joining in on the singing as they made their way to Olivia's school.
Once they arrived, Tim parked the car and turned to Olivia, a serious expression on his face.
Tim- Hey, Livi, remember that Lucy is picking you up after school today. Here, I want you to take this card.
Tim handed Olivia a card, and she took it with a curious glance.
Olivia- you're giving me your card?
Tim- No, that's not my card. It's yours and I want you to keep it. But just so you know I can see when you buy something and how much you spend. Oh and you can't spend more than I put in there
Tim clarified, wanting to ensure Olivia understood the responsibility that came with having the card. He wanted her to have some autonomy but also to be mindful of her spending.
Tim- We'll talk about this tonight
Olivia- Okay, Dad. Thanks.
Tim- bye, love you
Olivia- love you too, bye
Tim smiled reassuringly, reaching over to give her a quick hug before she hopped out of the car and headed towards the school building.
Tim watched her go, feeling a swell of pride and love for his daughter. He knew she was growing up fast, but he was grateful for moments like these when they could still share a special bond.
With a final wave goodbye, Tim drove off towards the police station, ready to tackle whatever challenges the day might bring.
As the afternoon progressed, Lucy arrived at Olivia's school to pick her up, ready for their trip to the mall. Olivia greeted Lucy with a smile as she climbed into the car, excited for their girls' day out.
Olivia- Hey
Lucy- hello there, how was school?
Olivia- It was okay, just glad to be out now. How about you? How's your day been?
Lucy- Not too bad. Looking forward to spending the afternoon with you. Ready for some shopping?
Olivia- Definitely! I've been waiting for this all day.
With that, they set off towards the mall.
As they arrived at the mall, Olivia's excitement bubbled over. She eagerly led Lucy through the bustling corridors, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the various stores and displays.
Olivia- Where should we go first, Lucy?
Lucy- wherever you want to go
Olivia's face lit up with anticipation as she pulled Lucy into the first store they encountered. Excitement bubbled within her as she scanned the racks of clothing, eager to explore.
Olivia- How about this store, Lucy? They have some cute dresses!
Lucy smiled, following Olivia's lead as they ventured further into the store. She couldn't help but admire Olivia's enthusiasm, grateful for the opportunity to spend this time together.
Lucy- Sounds perfect, Liv. Let's see what they have!
As Olivia and Lucy sifted through the racks of dresses, Olivia's excitement only seemed to grow. She eagerly picked out a few options, holding them up against herself and twirling around for Lucy's opinion.
Olivia- What do you think, Lucy? Should I try this one?
Lucy- That one looks great on you, Liv! You should definitely try it on.
Olivia beamed at Lucy's encouragement, quickly disappearing into the fitting room to try on the dress. Lucy took a moment to glance around the store, admiring the array of styles and colors on display. She couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment as she watched Olivia's joy.
When Olivia emerged from the fitting room, she twirled around in front of Lucy, modeling the dress with a big grin on her face.
Olivia- What do you think?
Lucy- Absolutely stunning, Liv! You look fantastic in it.
Olivia's smile widened, and she quickly decided to purchase the dress, her excitement palpable as they continued their shopping adventure through the mall.
As they moved on to explore more stores in the mall, Olivia's energy remained infectious, and Lucy couldn't help but feel a sense of joy in her presence. They browsed through various shops, trying on clothes, giggling over accessories, and sharing stories along the way.
At one point, they stumbled upon a quaint bookstore tucked away in a corner of the mall. Olivia's eyes lit up at the sight of the shelves filled with books of all genres, and she eagerly pulled Lucy inside.
Olivia- Lucy, look at all these books! Can we please take a quick look around?
Lucy smiled, charmed by Olivia's enthusiasm for literature.
Lucy- Of course, Liv. Take our time.
After their delightful exploration of the bookstore, Lucy and Olivia decided to treat themselves to some ice cream. They made their way to the ice cream parlor, where an array of flavors awaited them.
Olivia's eyes widened with excitement as she scanned the menu board, contemplating her options.
Olivia- Lucy, what flavor are you going to get?
Lucy chuckled, glancing over the choices before making her decision.
Lucy- I think I'll go for the classic vanilla with some chocolate syrup. What about you?
Olivia grinned, her mind already made up.
Olivia- I'm going to try the cotton candy flavor with sprinkles and gummy bears!
Lucy laughed, impressed by Olivia's choice.
Lucy- That sounds delicious!
They placed their orders and soon found themselves seated at a cozy table, enjoying their sweet treats together. As they indulged in their ice cream, they chatted animatedly about their favorite flavors, sharing stories and making plans for future outings.
Olivia took a moment to savor her a bite of the colorful cotton candy ice cream before starting a conversation with Lucy.
Olivia- can I ask you something?
Lucy- sure, what is it?
Olivia- I was wondering... if you....
Lucy- I'm here for you, Olivia. Go ahead and ask whatever's on your mind.
Olivia- I was wondering if you could take me to buy a bra
Olivia's request caught Lucy by surprise, but she maintained her composure
Lucy- Do you think you need one? I-I mean... Of course, Liv. If you think you need one, then I'm here to help you find the right one. It's a normal part of growing up, and I-I'm glad you feel comfortable talking to me about it.
Olivia nodded, appreciating Lucy's supportive approach.
Olivia- Yeah, I think it's time.
Lucy- Can I ask you why you think it's time?
Olivia- A few of my friends have already started wearing them, and I feel like I'm ready too.
Lucy listened attentively as Olivia explained her reasons, nodding in understanding.
Lucy- That makes sense, Liv. It's perfectly normal to start thinking about wearing a bra as you know, your body will start changing. I'm glad you feel comfortable discussing this with me.
Olivia smiled gratefully, relieved that Lucy was being so understanding.
Lucy- have you talked with your dad about this? Or anyone else?
Olivia's smile faltered slightly at Lucy's question, and she hesitated before responding.
Olivia- Not yet. I wasn't sure how to bring it up.
Lucy nodded sympathetically, understanding the delicate nature of discussing such matters with a parent that is the opposite gender.
Lucy- It's okay, Liv. I can talk to him about it with you if you'd like me to.
Olivia's expression softened with gratitude.
Olivia- That would be great. Thank you.
Lucy smiled reassuringly, glad to offer her support.
Lucy- Of course, anytime you need to talk about anything, I'm here for you. Let's finish up here and then we can go and look for bras if you want. Or..or we can go another day if you don't feel like doing it today.
Olivia's eyes brightened with appreciation at Lucy's understanding and flexibility.
Olivia- Thank you, Lucy. I think I'd like to do it today. I feel ready for it.
Lucy nodded with a warm smile, showing her support for Olivia's decision.
As they entered the store, Olivia felt a mix of excitement and nerves, but Lucy's reassuring presence helped calm her. When Lucy offered to get someone to assist them, Olivia hesitated, feeling shy. Lucy quickly reassured her they didn't need to, easing Olivia's nerves.
Olivia expressed her preference for something comfortable and something suitable for sports. Lucy nodded, understanding her needs. They browsed through the store together, with Lucy guiding Olivia to the sports bras section.
Lucy watched as Olivia tried on different sports bras, carefully considering each one. After a few moments, Olivia opens the door of the fitting room to show Lucy the first one she tried on.
Olivia- How does this one look?
Lucy stepped closer to her
Lucy- can I?
Olivia- yes
Olivia stood still as Lucy examined the fit of the sports bra. Lucy gently adjusted the straps and checked the band to ensure it wasn't too tight. After a moment, she stepped back with a nod of approval.
Lucy- It looks good, Liv. How does it feel?
Olivia moved around a bit, testing the comfort.
Olivia- It feels okay, I think. Maybe a little tight around here.
She pointed to the band under her chest. Lucy nodded in understanding.
Lucy- Alright, let's try the next one and see how it compares.
Lucy nodded and handed Olivia the next sports bra to try on. Olivia slipped it on and examined herself in the mirror before opening the door of the fitting room.
Olivia- What do you think of this one, Lucy?
Lucy approached Olivia to inspect the fit, making sure it fits properly.
Lucy- Let me take a look. This one seems to fit better around the band. How does it feel?
Olivia adjusted the straps and moved around a bit to test the comfort.
Olivia- It feels better than the last one, definitely more comfortable.
Lucy smiled, pleased to see Olivia feeling more at ease.
Lucy- Great! Let's keep trying a few more to find the perfect one.
Olivia tried on a few more sports bras, each time assessing the fit and comfort with Lucy's help. After trying several options, she finally found one that felt just right.
Olivia- I think that's the one
Lucy- That's wonderful, how many do you need?
Olivia- I don't know
Lucy- Okay, ahmm... you play soccer and basketball, so maybe three or four would be a good start? I wouldn't buy to many for now because you...you're still growing, you know
Olivia nodded thoughtfully, considering Lucy's advice.
Olivia- Yeah, that makes sense.
Lucy smiled, glad Olivia was receptive to her suggestion.
Lucy- Great, let's find a few more that you like.
As they moved on to explore regular bras, Lucy and Olivia continued their search with the same meticulousness. Lucy made sure to select something that was comfortable, and appropriate for Olivia's age.
Olivia tried on various styles, providing feedback to Lucy about the fit and comfort of each one. With Lucy's guidance, she found a few regular bras that she felt confident and comfortable in.
After selecting a few options for both sports bras and regular bras, Lucy and Olivia headed to the checkout counter to pay.
As they left the mall, Lucy turned to Olivia with a warm smile.
Lucy- So, Liv, do you want me to drive you home or would you like to come over to my place for a while? Your dad, is still at work for a few more hours.
Olivia considered her options for a moment before responding.
Olivia- I think I'd like to come over to your place, if that's okay. It'll be nice to spend some more time together.
Lucy nodded, pleased with Olivia's choice.
Lucy- Of course, I'd love that. Let's head to my place then.
