Staring Back At Me

I stand looking into the mirror,

Too afraid to ask who I am,

What I was,

What I've become,

And what changed.

Your faith in me was strong.

But not strong enough to bring back

Those forgotten weaknesses,

Those weakness,

That made my imperfection,

I've learnt my lesson,

Wondering what I was studying for,

Wondering what you taught me,

Wondering who's the student and the teacher

In this unforgivable society.

Trust in me.

Though it's not what I deserve.

I can never do your justice

Like your words inspired me.

What I got wasn't what I intended to get.

Because I keep on forgetting,

That what you want and what you need,

Isn't the same in my reality,

You stole my heart like

Death steals from life,

Breaking me apart until I'm on the verge of being unfixed.

Forever is what I wanted to have,

My body is what you wanted to get,

Heartache is what destiny gave us,

And cruelty is what the world thinks of us.
