Chapter 47

So after thirty minutes of trying to gather the whole Cullen family, we were now outside and in a not so pleasant discussion. And i of course on this cold night decided to leave my jacket upstairs, so i was shivering but luckily I was standing in-between Embry and Quil though, who were my personal warmers, thank god for them.

"How long?" Edward questions crossing his arms, leaning back against the wall. Bella tucked in beside him.

"They'll be here in four days." Alice says softly but confidently.

"This could turn into a blood bath." Carlisle says looking at his boys. I bite at my thumb nail. Trying to keep my nerves at bay.

"Who's behind it?" Edward asks looking down at Bella before looking back to Alice.

"I didn't see anyone i recognize, maybe one." She says while shaking her head. I furrow my brows, confused.

"I know his face. He's local, Riley Biers." Edward says causing my head to pop up. Riley Biers? Isn't that the kid my dad is trying to help find? I look over and try to catch Bella's eyes. 

"He didn't start this." Edward says confidently. But how do we know. We know nothing about him? But he doesn't even know us so why would he suddenly target us? 

"Whoever did is staying out of the action." Alice suggests knowingly. Hmm so its got to be someone who is familiar with Alice and her powers?

"They must be playing with the blind spots in your vision." Carlisle says.

"So its gotta be someone who knows about you and what you can see because how else would they know to hide." I mention crossing my arms. Finally speaking my mind.

"Either way, the army is coming and there aren't enough of us to protect the town." Jasper says rubbing Alice's arms.

"Hold up. What damn army?" Jake asks confused looking like he was about to pop. Embry and quil look just as confused. I shake my head and place my head in my hands. Why does it have to be an army? Like it couldn't have just been one random dude, noo we get the whole damn village

"Newborns. Our kind." Carlisle tells him after a minute, Lost in thought it seems.

"What are they after?" Embry questions already sounding like he knew. He looks at me worried. I look over to Bella, sad because why can't she ever just be safe. Just for once i would like to not worry about her.

"They were passing around Bella's scent. A Red blouse." Alice says softly. I sigh and lean into Embry who lays his arm around my shoulder and rubs my arms, his attempt to keep me warm, don't you start thinking things. We besties for life.

"They're after Bella?" Embry questions looking away from Bella to Jacob who is looking very defeated. I look back inside the house. At all the normal teenagers, dancing, no care in the world, not knowing what's even happening to us. Oblivious. I look back at the group and meet Edward's eyes who look at me with sad eyes.  I shake my head slightly at him because i wouldn't trade this life for another. Because even through all the pain, I love these people to much to give it up.

"What the hell does that mean?" Jake asks standing taller, his hand into fists. I roll my eyes tuning back into the conversation. Isn't it obvious. Like I'm sorry why else would a bunch of new vampires be passing around Bella's scent, to figure out the perfume? Get it together jake.

"It means an ugly fight, with lives lost." Carlisle says looking down sadly. Everyone looks around soberly. I see Jake, Embry and Quil have a silent moment with each other and i squint my eyes at them. Stupid Wolf mind listening thing. Just speak up already.
