Chapter 30

"He left you, Bella. He didn't want you anymore, remember?" Jake says following behind Bella, who was running out the door behind Alice. I follow behind them staying quiet. "I know that but i'm not gonna let him kill himself out of guilt." Bella says walking over to the car. "What about your dad?" Jacob says while looking back at me before turning back to Bella."I'm eighteen, i'm legally free to go. And i left a note." Bella says looking down before opening the car door. "Bella!" I yell causing her to look at me with a sad look on her face. I run around the car over to her and sigh. "Becca, I have to go save him." Bella says sounding sad. I shake my head and grab her hand "I know bells. Just please be careful." She smiles before pulling me into a hug. I hug her tight before pulling back. She gets into the car as Jake gives me a look of disbelief and shakes his head. "Please, just stay here. Please Bella for me. I'm begging you" Jake says leaning in Alice's car window. "I sorry jake, I have to go." Bella says sadly. He looks over at her heartbroken before nodding and backs away slowly. Bella sighs before buckling up. I reach my hand in the window and grab her hand "You can do this bells. Bring eddy home." I say making Alice and Bella smile at me. They both knew how i felt about Edward. But even though we aren't close and i sometimes want to punch him, i would never want him to die. He makes Bella happy and as long as Bella's happy, i should be happy. "Okay we really need to get moving." Alice says. I sigh and nod before backing away from the car.

I wave towards them as they drive off. I bite my lip and look over to see Jake sitting on the step and sigh. "I'm sorry Jake." I say walking over to him. He shakes his head and looks up at me "Why?" He asks me as i sit down next to him. "Why what?" he looks over at me and says "Why would you let her go to him. Even after everything that happened? He left her. He doesn't deserve her anymore." I nod before shrugging "Everybody deserves a second chance and plus he loves her, and she loves him Jake. Nobody could have stopped her from going." I say looking up at the sky. He sighs and leans his head against his hand. I smile sadly at him before placing my head on his shoulder. "She'll be okay Jake." I whisper to him. He smiles slightly and places his arm around my shoulder and pulls me into him. We hug for a little while before deciding to head inside. Jake said he needed to leave so i guess it just me now. I sigh and lock the door before heading into the kitchen.

Needless to say dad was pissed off when he got home. After hours off explaining to him that Bella was old enough to make her own decisions and that there was nothing i could have done to stop her from going, he finally calmed down. He was definitely still upset at Bella but he understood..... somewhat.

"Morning dad." I say to him once i make it downstairs and walk into the kitchen. "Morning Becca. How'd you sleep?" He asks while reading his newspaper. I smile and say "I slept okay, you?" He shrugs "Alright." I nod and look down at my phone. Still nothing from Alice or Bella. I sigh and play with my cereal. How long will i have to wait till they message me?

Dad, who i guess noticed i was fidgeting, suggested i should go hang out with friends or something. I guess that wasn't a bad idea so i decided to call Emily to see what she was doing today, to which she said she was going to the beach with Sam and the others and asked if i would like to join.

So that's where i'm heading now. Emily runs over to the car when i pull up and hugs me excitedly. I giggle at her and grab my bag out of the car and walk with her over to the group, who was playing soccer. "Guys look who's here." Emily says causing everyone to look over at me. I wave towards them awkwardly. They smile at me before turning back to the game. "Do you wanna play?" Emily asks looking at me, i give her an uneasy smile "I don't know, i'm not the best." I say making her giggle. "Come on pleasee. I suck at it too but i promise its fun. Pleaseeeee" She says begging me, i sigh before nodding. She cheers excitedly and pulls me over to Sam and tells him i'm playing. "Great, will be even now." He says making me smile.

I am put on Sam's team which includes Emily, Embry, Jake and me. Then there's Paul's team which includes Quil, Seth, Leah and Jared. The game starts of easy well that was until the ball was passed to me. My eyes go wide. I lightly kick the ball forward and run after it towards the goal, which wasn't actually a goal, but more of a line they drew in the sad. Paul runs over and blocks me from running past. I quickly look over to my right to see Sam. I fake run left and then quickly kick the ball over to Sam. Sam manages to get the ball and kicks it in the goal. Emily runs over and cheers. I smile at her before looking over at Paul who smirks at me. I look down and smile before running back over to our side.

The rest of the game went good, our team managed to beat them by 3 points. Win or lose, i still had a fun time. Now we were all just spread out on the beach. I was sitting on a rock next to the water. "Hey" I hear a voice say behind me. I turn around and look to see Paul standing there. I smile at him and say "Hey"

"Mind if i sit?" He asks walking closer. I shake my head and scoot over a little. He climbs on the rock and sits down next to me. I could feel his stare on me as i looked out at the ocean."So...that was a fun game." I say looking back at him. "Yeah. It was. You got lucky though. A couple more minutes and we would have had you" He says making me shake my head. "No you wouldn't have." He looks over at me shocked before shoving my shoulder with his. I giggle and shove him back. He laughs before jumping off of the rock. He grabs my hips and throws me over his shoulder. I gasp and hit his back. "Hey no fair. Put me down." I say while trying to hold on to him. He laughs harder and continues to walk forward. I try look around only to see him getting closer to the water. I gasp and hit his back harder. "Paul, don't you dare throw me in the water or i swear i'll."

"Or you'll what?" He says interrupting me. I think for a minute, then say "Ummm" "Exactly" He says before walking closer. "Emily! Sam! Helppp" I yell to them causing them to laugh at me. I glare at them. Paul walks deeper into the water and stops. I grip onto him hard as he tries to drop me in. Next thing i know i am dunked into the cold water. I swim upwards and gasp loudly, i hear Paul laughing. I push my hair away from my face and wipe my eyes and glare at him. I swim closer and place my hands on his shoulder and with all my strength, i somehow manage to dunk him. I giggle when he comes up with a shocked look on his face. He looks at me and smiles. We stand there in the water just looking at each other, when all of a sudden, water is thrown at us. We both look over shocked to see Jared and Embry standing there. I look over at Paul and nod my head towards them. We both smirk before splashing them with water. The whole group eventually joins us in our water fight. I laugh while watching everybody splash each other.
