I had to walk away because It didn't seem like you seemed to care that we were drifting apart,
I had to shut my doors because you didn't realize that I was suffering too,
I had to stop explaining because you didn't seem to understand the value of my emotions,
I had to step back because you didn't seem to realize that I was fighting for you all along,
I had to detach because you were no longer trying to hold,
I lost a part of myself that always yearned for your affection whenever I was vulnerable. I endured so much pain just to be held by you, but you didn't seem to care.
Now, I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to show this side of me to you or anyone else.
To you, I became the person you needed when you had enough of others,
So now, even if I know that I am going to fall I don't wish to be held anymore instead,
I'll just shatter on the ground so no one can find me as a whole again.
