Ch-2 - A Letter

After so long , today, I received a letter from Ari.
I am still trying to figure out whether to open it or not. But at last my old self won and I am opening the letter.

My dearest friend Emily,

I hope you are doing well. It have been a long time since we met eachother. I really don't want to remind you of him but as you know Noah's death anniversary is in next week. His parents are going to shift in some other country and this is their last time being in New York during his death anniversary so they want each and every friend/classmate to be present on that day. I know you want to forget all this and want to move on but I request you to be present with us. No matter what, I will always support you.
And yes I got your address through Alan's company. They have record of their old employees and had your father's new address too.

Letter is still in my hand. Some words got spread due to my tears. I am still crying but in silence. Someone said that silence is the most painful scream.
I don't know whether I should go or not.

"Emy, come down. It's lunch time."

I should wipe my tears before going downstairs. My parents have suffered a lot because of me. I don't want to make things worse for them.
Mom heard my footsteps.

"Wash your hands first."

"Mom."

"Yes."

I tried but I cannot stop myself anymore.

"I received a letter from Ari. She is calling me for Noah's death anniversary."

Tears are rolling down my cheeks and my mom is looking me with the same silent pain.

"It's ok dear, don't cry."

"Do you think I should go back to New York, back to my memories?"

"It's your wish honey. But always remember he is not a memory because he will stay with you everyday."

My mom is right, I will always think about him no matter wherever I am. I have to control myself. I have to fight against my past.

I have decided, I am going back to New York. I am coming back Noah.
