Ch5 - My nighttime investigation

After a long reasoning, I have decided to stay for a few more days. It was hard to convince mom & dad but I successfully did it. After giving a thought to that letter, I have come to the conclusion that perhaps I should find out about Vincent. But the thing is I don't have his current address.
Ring - ring , ring - ring.....
My phone is ringing. It's Daphne. What if she knows about his address!!!

"Hi , Emy "

"Hi Daphne."

"Are you free today? I am going for shopping so I thought that maybe you could accompany me."

"Actually Daphne I need your help. Do you remember Vincent?"

"Yes."

"Do you have any idea about where he is now?"

"I don't know. I guess school might have his records. But why are you asking about him all of a sudden? Is everything ok?"

"Thank you so much Daphne. And there is nothing to worry about. I will call you later. Byee."

I should start my investigation from school but I don't think that they will give me his personal information. I guess I have to rob it from the school office at night.
I should also try to figure out about Anna. But for that I will need someone who knows her. Cindy ,  no  , I will never take her help. Who else knows her. Alan !!! I should definitely give him a call.

"Hello."

"Hi Alan"

"Is there anything important you want to talk about Emy? Because right now I am in a meeting."

"Oh that's nice. You are taking over business. Wow." [How am I suppose to ask about my enemy!!??]

"Thanks but I guess I already told you that I am busy."

"Oh yeah. Sorry" [oh come on , God give me some idea.]

"Maybe you can wait until my work gets over."

"When will you get free?"

"Probably at night."

"No not at night."

"Why?"

"Just because..." [I don't think that I should reveal my secret mission.]

"Listen Emily I am serious so please do not disturb me."

"I know and I am really sorry. I just wanted to ask about Anna....."[Why can't I frame a good sentence.]

"Anna? What about Anna? Is something wrong Emily?"

"Umm no. I just wanted to know how she is doing." [Really!! Is this what I want to know?? How she is doing??]

"I don't know why , but I think you are lying Emy."

"No , I am not. Believe me." [Why am I such a bad liar!?]

"Fine. But actually I have already wasted a lot of time right now on phone so you have to wait for some time. I will message you."

"Ok you are really busy I guess. Bye." [I can come up with an excuse till then.]

He hanged up the call.
I am a little bit confused. Why Alan was sounding so serious today? I mean he is serious everyday but today was something different.

                         At night

Now it's time to visit my old school.
Let's try to sneak into the office. It was really hard to jump through the walls but I managed it. Its so dark and suddenly my torch have stopped working properly. I have to carefully navigate myself through these darkened corridors. I cannot make any sound.

My heart is pounding. During my school time, I had heard a lot of horror stories about our school. But I know they all were fake. [They should be fake]

There it is , the office. Thank God , there is no lock on the door. I entered in the room and closed the door behind me silently . Now let's start searching. I searched through desks and files for anything that could lead me to Vincent. It is taking longer than I thought. I should hurry up. Guards will be here anytime to check if everything is fine or not.

Holy crap, I dropped the lamp. Why am I so unlucky!!?? Oh no guards are coming. I have to leave right now.

Somehow I managed to runaway through windows without getting caught but what now , I don't even have a slightest clue where he would be.
I wonder why that annonymous sender is not helping me now. He have gave me two pictures of Anna and Vincent without any other information. I don't count it in help. Since then he didn't tried to contact me. I am doing all this just because that picture or else why would I believe in that annonymous sender.

Wait!!!!!!!
I was looking through those pictures again when I noticed that Vincent was wearing a uniform. Maybe this picture was taken after Vincent left his job as a bus driver because this is not our school's uniform.

So I need to find out about this uniform, it can lead me to Vincent. The only way to find it is to  Google search it.

After a long search I got a similar uniform on Google. It is of a shop named 'PhoneHubic'. They sell phones and sim cards.
Ok , so now  I just need to find this shop but  unfortunately there are total seven shops of this same name in New York. This is gonna make me crazy but I have to give it a try.
