"MAIA ITS MORNING WAKE UP!!!!!!!!" Her brothers, Hunter and Gabriel yelled, making her groan as she hit the floor. Her older sister, Fatima, walked in with her pajamas on and bed hair, showing that she'd just woken up. "Maia wake up on time so I don't have to hear these little brats." Fatima said loudly, causing the two boys to run out of the room frightened. "Morning to you too Fatima." Maia grumbled as she pulled herself up off the floor and brushed past her sister and into the bathroom. She pulled her outfit out from the mini dresser and layed them on the small table, hopping into the shower. After about 20 minutes in there, she came out of the walk in shower and put on her clothes. She then combed through her damp black and blue hair and swiped her bangs to the left of her face.
She put on her makeup and grabbed her purse and Ipod, plugging in her beats headphones and shuffling her music. Maia walked into the kitchen and saw her mother at the stove, cooking for her 10 year old twin brothers. "Morning mum." Maia said as she pecked her mother's cheek, earning a soft laugh and smile from her. "Good Morning Maia." Maia grabbed a piece of toast from the table and kissed her brother's foreheads. She walked out the house and locked the door with her key. She pushed her sunglasses up on her face as her boots clicked against the hard concrete sidewalk on her street. Maia walked into a small café called 'Little Miraclez' that was owned by the family of her best friend, Janaya. Maia smiled as she breathed in the smell of pastries and sweet coffee.
"How can help you Maia?" giggled Janiya's little sister Natasha at the counter. "Just a Mint Coffee with whipped cream please." She smiled back at the little 13 year old girl who nodded and told her mum in the kitchen what she wanted. Janiya ran down the stairs that led to her families' apartment and hugged Maia, letting her blonde, black and pink hair cover their faces. "You ready Mai? First day of school, I'm sure you'll have to go back to Ms. Emotionless." Janaya asked as she stuffed a crepe into her small pink lipstick covered mouth. "Yes, it should be a breeze! Don't worry babe, it's not like we wont be best friends at school, I just have to flick a switch. On or off, ya know?" Maia said, nudging her friend in the ribs as she sipped her fresh coffee. But the voice in the back of her mind thought otherwise.
You know it isn't that easy Mai....Don't fool yourself again..
Maia brushed off the thought and flipped her hair away from her face, taking another sip of the coffee. "Lets go Mai. BYE MUM! BYE DAD!" Janaya yelled as she grabbed her bag from the lounge chair and the two friends walked out of the café, talking about how the first day would be.

As Maia walked into the school with Janaya, they noticed the lustful stares from the boys in the hall. Janaya waved and winked to many of them, but Maia just held her head up and pulled out her phone, texting her friend Harry Styles as she walked down the hallway. She just didn't like talking to people, and you couldn't blame her.

Hey Mai, you in school? We're in the band room.
She smiled down at her phone and put it in her pocket. She took off her sunglasses and now all the little stalkers in the hall could see her piercing blue eyes. "Lets go to the band room" The two friends walked down the hall and into the band room to see their closest friends.
