Niall sighed and wandered the halls, looking for Chase and Zayn. They'd been called down to Mr. Tomlinsons office a while ago but they should've been back by now. He took a left turn as the bell rang, signaling that class had started. He opened the door to his Language Arts class and saw Harry sitting with Zayn, Chase, Maia and Janaya in the left corner of the room, apparently talking about something. "Hey Chase! Hey Zayn, Harry, girls." Niall said, smiling.

"Hey Nialler!" Chase yelled and waved, turning back to their little group. Niall groaned and forced a smile, walking back to the front of the class with his guitar. He sat down as soon as the teacher came in, who turned out to be Ms. Eleanor Tomlinson, Mr. Tomlinson's wife. She was supposed to be secretary but she wanted to teach, so he made her the new Foreign Languages teacher. "Hello class, I'm Mrs. Tomlinson, and I am your new Foreign Languages teacher. I hope you all enjoy this last semester of your high school career and I am allowing you to pick what language you want to learn this year!"

The rest of the class cheered and Ms. Tomlinson smiled and turned to the board. "However, you must work in a group of three for each language. I am pairing you all up into groups and then you have to pick a language together. Ok?" She said as she wrote different groups on the white board. The first group was Zayn, Janaya, and some other girl named Delilah. The second group was Selena, Johanna, and Valerie. The third group was Matthew, Jennette, annd Andre (the musical kids that Niall was friends with).

The fourth group were all jocks so nobody really cared.

"Alright class the last group will be of four. Chase, Maia, Harry and Niall, you are the last group." Mrs. Tomlinson said, writing their names on the board. Niall nodded and put his head on the desk. He heard chairs scraping and desks moving and when he looked up, Harry, Maia, and Chase were sitting there with him. "Hey guys. Hey Maia." Niall said as Maia just waved and pulled out her headphones and phone, tuning out completely. "So Niall, what language do you want to study?" Harry said out of the blue.

Niall smiled and shrugged his shoulders, running a hand through his brown turned blond hair. "Uh, we could maybe study French?" He suggested, but only Harry heard him because Chase was staring at Maia and she was completely tuned out. "Ok, since nobody else has any ideas sure." Harry said as his green eyes sparked with deviousness. He elbowed Chase in the ribs, and Chase fell to the floor, making Maia look down and take off her headphones. "You alright?" Maia said as she looked down at Chase on the floor.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine." Chase said, glaring at Harry as he stood up and brushed off his arms, flexing his muscles at the same time, trying to impress Maia, Niall guessed. And she did pay attention to that. Niall was sure that he was the only one who saw Maia's blue eyes trail up and down Chase's arms behind her sunglasses but she is the one to never show her feelings-towards anything. "We're studying French Chase." Niall reminded his friend who nodded and smiled at him pulling out a textbook marked 'French' and flipped to page one.

The bell rang and Maia stood up, rushing out the classroom and out the door of the school. Niall packed up his stuff and pulled his guitar and bag onto his back, smiling at Chase and Harry who were in a deep conversation about which is better between American football or football. "Hey guys I'll see you around." Niall said, standing up and following the direction that Maia went. She turned towards the parking lot and got into a van with two other girls, Valerie and Janaya. They drove off and towards the campus café.

Niall pulled out his key to his bike and unlocked it, racing after the car. When they stopped, Maia got out and walked to the front entrance, but went up the stairs that led to a window. There is nothing up there, Niall thought. She looked around and pulled out an object and opened the window, crawling in and slamming it closed. As far as he could see, the object was a small notebook. Maia Hayes did have a lot of secrets behind those shades of hers and he wanted to find them out. All of them.
