Mr. Liam Payne smiled up at the class and pushed up the glasses on his face as his curls fell in front of them. "How are those warm ups coming along?" He asked the class and they groaned in response. He stood from his desk and walked down the rows of students, looking over their shoulders at their work. "Good job." He whispered to several students who were at least giving an effort to the Algebra problems on the board. Liam made his way to the back of the classroom and saw the jocks and cheerleaders not doing their work.
"Mmhm." He cleared his throat as the slackers looked up at him with amusement. "All of you get to work." He grumbled slightly and they all looked down at the desks to their papers, blank and untouched. Liam sighed and shook his head. He walked past the seats in front of the back row and saw Maia Hayes and Janaya Talway there looking down at their work, pencils moving. Now that's some students who may be bad but have a nice academic level. They both were pretty good students when they did their work.
They never paid any attention to the lectures and lessons though. He would catch them on their phones during teaching sessions but he guessed when you're smart you tend to get bored and act up in school. He chuckled slightly as he walked back to his desk, remembering his years in high school where his friends and him would play around, but be serious about school as well. His friend Louis Tomlinson, who is now the Assisant Headmaster at this school, was always the one with the attitude and sense of humor. But he could be serious at times, which is why he is Assistant Headmaster.
His wife Danielle is the afterschool teacher for dance. She was really sweet and kind to her students, as well as to her friends, family, and children. Liam and Danielle had 2 kids, Skylar and Melody, two girls. He smiled at the thought of his little family and then looked at the class again to see them all on their phones. "This is Math class, not study hall. We have work to do if you want enough credits to graduate." He sternly said as the class put away their phones.
"Ok, so can anyone tell me what the formula is for finding the square root of a squared number? WITHOUT your calculators?" Liam turned to the board and started righting. How he loved teaching, as much as learning.
