EXT - THE R.S. MEDITATION RETREAT- DAY
[We see Azura- once known as the Eternal, Thena- meditating on the beach, basking in the sunlight.]
Instructor: Boss?
Thena: Yes?
Instructor: Sorry to bother you, the session will begin soon. Would you like me to take this session?
Thena: I'll be in there in a minute.
[As she gets up from her place we see a boat in the distance drive closer to the island, we then see the boat has Ajak and Sersi on it. We cut to Thena teaching her class inside of a hut, Ajak and Sersi walk over to the beach hut where the class is taking place.]
Thena: And breathe in... And everyone continue your breathing exercises and...
[She turns to the other instructor.]
Thena: Could you please continue the class? I'll be right back.
[Thena stands up and walks out of the room to Ajak and Sersi. Thena gestures for them to follow her. They all walk outside of the hut to a hanging bench that hangs down from the ceiling, Thena sits on the bench.]
Ajak: Thena, h-
Thena: It's Azura around here.
Ajak: Right. Azura, how have you been?
Thena: Peaceful, Other than the visions of-
Sersi: Wait? You can remember stuff?
Thena: Yes, but only brief memories. They come and go quickly. Before I opened this place I used to see backwards and forward in time, seeing visions of the deaths we caused. But since opening this place. The memories so ever rarely happen.
Sersi: Are there any you remember now?
[She thinks for a moment.]
Thena: There's one that is confusing. It started with all of us in the woods..
[We are shown a flash of the Eternals together in the forest.]
Thena: And we were all arguing over something.
[We see a flash of The Eternals arguing.]
Thena Everyone was talking about someone's death... but then the memory stopped.
Sersi: We must be talking about Druig!
Thena: Maybe. But something felt different. Like someone else was gone as well, not just Drui-.
[There is an unexpected crashing sound and scream. They turn around, confused. Sersi, Thena and Ajak run into the Meditation Room to see that there is a deviant attacking the people in the room! There's blood over the wall, people on the floor bleeding out. The creature stands above the other instructor, about to bite him. The scene enters slow-motion as the deviant goes to strike. Thena produces a sword out of her yellow-gold energy, she runs to the Deviant cutting the side of it. The creature collapses into the ground. The Deviant's wound releases energy particles, which fill the room.]
Thena: I'm sorry, I didn't really want anyone to see that. That was such a rageful action and... You know what? It felt amazing to finally let out all the rage. Maybe mediation doesn't work after all.
[Sersi stares at the particles as they float in the air, she watches as the particles seem to turn around- heading back towards The Deviant.]
Sersi: Wait, what the hell is happening?
[The particles re-enter into the Deviant, healing its wound. The creature stands up and roars.]
Thena: Holy shit, when was it able to do?
Ajak: I don't know. Sersi get these people out of here!
[Sersi goes to help the surviving people out of the room. Thena runs to the deviant, her sword transforming into a spear. As she plunges the spear into the deviants neck, it swipes at her, sending her crashing the wall bleeding. Ajak runs over to her and heals her wounds. The deviant then jumps on to Sersi.]
