EXT - DARK FOREST, GERMANY - NIGHT
[Text appears on screen, 1941. We continue with the scene of Sersi seeing herself and Ikaris. They laugh with each other and then watch as they see a deer walking around.]
Sersi: Shhh, look!
Ikaris: Woah, look at that!
Sersi: I wouldn't have thought we would see one of them out here.
Ikaris: Yeah! I guess it's been really quiet lately.
[They watch the deer walk around.]
Sersi: You won't forget about me, right?
Ikaris: Of course, I won't.
Sersi: When Arishem puts me to sleep, come and see me, okay?
Ikaris: I can't wake you up, it'd be against Arishem's wishes.
Sersi: You don't have to wake me up, you just have to be there. Bump into me, make me drop my books and then brush against my hand...
Ikaris: (laughing) Like in a movie?
Sersi: Exactly.
[They laugh and embrace. The deer screams, Sersi and Ikaris look up to see the deer being eaten by a Deviant!]
Sersi: Shit!
[She runs out, reaches down and turns the floor into sand making the deviant sink into it. As she does this Ikaris flies to the Deviant and uses his laser eyes to hit the Deviant]
Sersi: Ajak ! There's a deviant!
[We see Makkari run to the deviant and punch it. As it falls to the ground we see Kingo shoot the deviant with his energy blasts. As the deviant lays on the floor we see as Thena walks over and stabs the Deviant in the head killing it.]
Ikaris: Well that's another one gone!
[The rest of the Eternals run in.]
Sprite: How many more are there?
Ajak: Well, That was the last one.
Sersi: Wait, so does that mean we can go home? We can finally go back to olympia!
[Sersi looks over as Ikaris, hopefully.]
Ajak: Yeah, we can all go home!
[Ajak turns around and wipes a tear away, Ikaris looks over, confused. Ajak turns around.]
Ajak: Come on everyone, join hands.
[Ajak, Sersi, Makkari, Phastos, Gilgamesh, Kingo and Thena all hold hands. They all close their eyes and start to rise off the ground. Sersi bursts open her eyes, they're glowing a familiar golden yellow.]
Sersi: Ikaris!
[The circle- bar Ajak- vanish in a yellow flash. Ajak returns to the ground.]
Sprite: What was that?
Ajak: I put them under, they'll be safe.
Ikaris: Safe from what?
Ajak: I know what you did, Ikaris. You let Druig go free.
Ikaris: Yes, I'm sorry.
Ajak: He's here.
Ikaris: What?
Ajak: He's still on Earth.
Ikaris: Take me to him.
INT - HYDRA BASEMENT - DAY
[We then cut to Druig in a hydra basement. He has a deviant hung up on the wall and is studying its power. It is dissecting the creature. Druig sees that the deviant's golden energy like blood is moving around. He then drains the deviant's blood into 8 needles. He then injects the 8 vials into his body. Then there is a loud crashing sound from the roof of the basement. It's Ikaris flying in and he punches Druig across the room.]
Ikaris: I told you to stay away!
[Ikaris punches Druig across the room, then he looks over to the body of the deviant.]
Ikaris: What the fuck have you been doing here? Are you dissecting them? You fucking monster!
Druig: What's the matter? Never seen a deviant's dead body? You kill deviants and become a hero. I dissect them and become the enemy. That doesn't seem fair.
Ikaris: I'm a hero because I don't torture them!
Druig: Killing them is like dissecting them. They still feel the same pain. You think you're so strong and tough when you wont do anything. You're weak.
