Chapter One

Me, Ivy, Max, and Soren just got home from the trip from Anara. I was helped off by Max and Ivy led me to inside the kingdom. I was in my demon form and I saw who I guess were my parents. The two rose instantly at the horror of their lost daughter a demon. I looked away just to be hugged by both of them tightly. I changed back and hugged back. My parents were here. I looked at Ivy and she introduced me and Max.

"Mom.. this is Katherine.. and thi-" "I am Max.. Katherine's lover.." said Max, cutting her off. I was taken to my new room. It had a bigger balcony and bed, it also had a bigger TV and closet. All my old clothes were there and more. I hopped on the bed and hid under the new blankets. My mother then came in with tears.

"My poor baby.. turned into a demon... they were.. too late?" she cried out. I held her hand. "I was born a demon mom.. the man only awakened it and I grew... being called a beast.." I said. She nodded and left the room. Max eventually popped in and got into bed with me.

"Good night.." He mumbled holding me as he fell asleep. I then dozed off as well. The next morning Soren came to wake us up. He never new we slept together. he comes threw the door and freezes. "Uuuuum.. Should I be scared or is this normal?" he asked and I woke up. I looked at Soren standing in the hallway," could you go get me some food?" I saw him leave and that's when Max woke up. I got out of bed and got into a  black dress that was really poofy at the bottom with red lace around the trim. There was also a big bow in the back. I put on my black jeweled tiara and Max got into his dress pants and tie. Of course he went shirtless. I looked at him weird and he ignored me. We both turned into our demon forms and walked out to meet Ivy and Soren in the main room downstairs.

"Really? Shirtless? Is that what you where in front of royals?" Soren complained to Max. Max nodded and Soren Shook his head. The old queen and King eventually came and brought us into the conference room. We all sat down and it was Ivy who first spoke.

"Mother? Can you please explain more about our past?"
