Chapter Four

Ivy Kades

I stared out to the kingdom grounds. My parents kingdom is about as big as Anara, or a bit bigger, maybe smaller. I don't know. I just came out to the balcony trying to get used to my new life. I mean I'm a queen now, and I have to rule a kingdom. Soren keeps asking me if I'm going to get a arranged marriage or if I can choose. He and I are both new to this sort if life and I'm glad he is still here with me. But past the forest we came through is Anara. Next to the forest is the forest of myths, my kingdom is surrounded by five different forest. Two are hostile, two are not, and one is neutral. We'll sort of, mess with anything in it those creatures will hurt you.

I felt arms slowly warp themselves around my waist. "Soren, what are you doing?" I asked not looking back at him. I am embarrassed that he did this, one: I've never felt a man touch me. Well other than my little brothers and fathers and two: I'm surly not what this guy is looking for ad I don't plan on having a broken heart anytime soon. "Enjoying the view," is his response, I slowly turned to look at him. What is this boy thinking? "Oh so I'm a view now?" I smirked at him while he chuckled a bit.

"How very lady like." I raised a eyebrow at him. Lady like? Boy are you serious? "Really?" I gave him a serious look, telling him that he better be joking. "I'm kidding Ivy, you know I am," he smiled trying to not look nervous. Since I became queen he took precautions to making sure i won't harm him. Like that could happen. Over some time I started to develops feelings for him. At first I pushed those feelings away to take care of my kingdom and sort out the raiding of demons and such.

Not many demons like my dad. Luckily seeing how he has a demon daughter they can't harm us anymore. After those issues were resolved the feelings and back. Now expressing them is a little harder than I thought. Maybe I should ask Katherine for advice. "Ivy," I heard a snapping sound and my thoughts dimmed out. "Sorry," I said looking away nervously. "It's fine Ivy, you know I can read minds but your mind won't let me in, why is that?" He seemed absolutely confused. Maybe it's because using want him in my head? Or maybe it's got something to do with the necklace?

"I don't know really, so what do you plan for us to do today?" I asked leaning slightly towards him. "I can feel someone enter the forest of myths, my guess it's your sister and her lover Max," he shrugged meaninglessly. "Got something today or are you keeping things from me?" I asked which caused him to stumble on his words. "No, yes, maybe, not really, I do-" "Soren gods so help me if you don't tell me what's going on I will hurt you," I scolded him. Within seconds I pulled away from his arms.

"It's, we'll it's nothing to big, except I can also feel a bad aura coming somewhere near the kingdom," he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "Soren! Of it has anything to do with my kingdom you have to tell me!" I yelled angrily. Usually I'm never this angry unless I'm yelling at Max but Soren just hit a nerve. "I'm sorry Ivy, but it's something I can handle, really, I just need you and your sister's kingdoms to stay on its grounds until Max and I find it," he spoke leaving me angry.

"So you and Max are going out go protect us when we can protect ourselves, hello Katherine and I have powers," I said in a duh tone, really how can he and Max say we can't protect ourselves? I took down a demon for crying out loud and Katherine killed a king! "Ivy it's between he and I, it's not about you and your sister," Soren looked annoyed with my stubbornness. "Tell me who you're fighting and maybe I'll give up," I crossed my arms and put my weight on one foot. "Max and I have to deal with his brother, a little family issue we need to resolve that leads to thing bigger than the initial problem," he stated running his hand through his blonde messy hair.

"So you're fighting his brother?" I asked. "Nope, we have to meet up with his brother and fight his uncle," he shrugged leaving he room. We'll at least he told me what's going on. We'll I hope it's just that and nothing else. So question is: Whose his uncle?
