As Yanna and her friend Maloi settled in for a cozy movie night in Yanna's bedroom, laughter filled the air, accompanied by the soft glow of the TV screen illuminating the room. They were engrossed in the romantic storyline unfolding before them, lost in the world of the movie.
However, amidst the laughter and enjoyment, a shadow of doubt crept into Maloi's mind. Something nagged at her, a thought that she couldn't shake off. She was thinking if she should voice her concerns to Yanna, her dear friend, or simply brush it off and enjoy the evening.
Unable to resist her curiosity any longer, Maloi turned to Yanna, her expression hesitant yet determined. "Hey, Yanyan," she began, pausing the movie with the remote and turning to face her friend.
Yanna mirrored Maloi's action, giving her friend her full attention. "Hmm?" she asked, a hint of curiosity in her voice.
Maloi hesitated for a moment before gathering her thoughts and voicing her concern. "I'm just curious... is Myles at work?" she inquired, her tone laced with uncertainty.
Yanna's brows furrowed slightly in confusion. "Yeah, she's at work," she confirmed, a puzzled expression crossing her features.
Maloi took a deep breath, steeling herself for what she was about to reveal. "I saw her earlier, when i was coming here, she was at Tiffany's Cafe," she confessed, her voice tinged with apprehension. "She was with another girl, and they seemed... really close."
Yanna's heart skipped a beat at Maloi's words, a knot forming in the pit of her stomach. She struggled to process the information, her mind racing with a flurry of thoughts and emotions. Could it be? But no-- Myles wouldn't do that, right?
Despite her inner turmoil, Yanna tried to rationalize the situation, clinging to the hope that there was a simple explanation for Myles' behavior. "Maybe it was just a friend," she suggested, her voice wavering slightly. "You know, maybe a workmate or something."
Maloi nodded in agreement, though her doubts lingered like a dark cloud hanging over them. "Yeah, maybe," she conceded, though her tone betrayed her lingering uncertainty. "Ah let's just forget about it and enjoy the movie."
With a forced smile, Maloi pressed play on the remote, the movie's soundtrack filling the room once more. Yet, despite their efforts to push aside their concerns, a sense of unease lingered between them, casting a shadow over their otherwise enjoyable evening.
As they immersed themselves back into the world of the movie, Yanna couldn't shake the nagging doubt gnawing at her insides. But Myles wouldn't do anything like that, she reassured herself silently. Myles isn't like that.
But deep down, a seed of doubt had been planted, and Yanna couldn't help but wonder if there was more to Myles' actions than met the eye.

As Maloi finished tying her shoes, she turned to Yanna with a bright smile, the remnants of their enjoyable movie night still lingering in the air. "That was a fun movie! I enjoyed watching it with you! I'll definitely come here again whenever I'm free," she exclaimed, enthusiasm evident in her voice.
Yanna returned Maloi's smile, though a hint of worry flickered in her eyes. "I enjoyed it too! But are you really sure you don't want to stay here muna? It's already night, and I'm a little worried about you going home alone," she admitted, concern tingeing her words.
"Don't worry about me, I'll just book a car home. I'll head out now, so I can get home quickly nalang ha" Maloi reassured her friend, "Goodnight, Yanyan!" With a wave and a cheerful smile, Maloi made her way towards the door, Yanna following close behind.
As Maloi reached for the doorknob, it swung open before she could touch it, revealing Myles standing on the other side. Maloi was surprise at the sudden appearance, her eyes widening in shock.
"Oh, hey Myles! We just finished watching a movie," Maloi explained quickly, trying to mask her surprise. "I hope you don't mind it, but I'll be heading home now."
Myles glanced between Maloi and Yanna, a hint of curiosity in her expression. "Ah, I see. Do you need a ride home?" she offered, a little concerned for her girlfriends friend.
Yanna stepped forward, her worry for her friend evident in her voice. "Yeah, Mal! Don't you need a ride home? I can come with you naman if you want," she suggested, eager to ensure Maloi's safety.
Maloi shook her head, offering a reassuring smile to her friends. "No, it's okay, Yann. Thanks, Myles, but I already booked a car, and I don't want to inconvenience you both. Anyways, I really should be going. Have a great night," she said, her tone cheerful despite the lingering unease.
With a final wave and a whispered "Ingat ka" from Yanna, Maloi exited the apartment, closing the door behind her. As Yanna watched her friend depart, a sense of relief washed over her, grateful that Maloi would soon be safely on her way home.
She then shifted her gaze to the girl beside her, who also just came home. A warm smile spread across her face as she looked at Myles. Sensing Yanna's presence, Myels drew closer to Yanna, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead.
