Yanna stirred from her slumber, the soft glow of her phone illuminating the darkness of their bedroom. With a sleepy glance at the screen, she noted the time—2:34 am.

Something felt off, a subtle shift in the atmosphere that tugged at her senses. As she reached out to her side, expecting to find her girlfriend, Myles, there, she was met with empty space.

Blinking away the remnants of sleep, Yanna sat up in bed, her mind groggy with confusion. "Loveeee?" she called out, her voice thick with sleep. "Lovey? Myles?" she tried again, hoping to rouse her girlfriend from wherever she had disappeared to.

But there was no response, just the quiet hum of the night enveloping their room. Yanna sighed, feeling a pang of loneliness gnaw at her insides. She craved the warmth of Myles' embrace, the reassuring presence of her partner beside her.

Summoning what little energy she had, Yanna swung her legs over the side of the bed, intending to search for Myles. But before she could make her way out of the room, her eyes fell upon Myles' laptop, its screen illuminated in the darkness.

Yanna hesitated, knowing that invading Myles' privacy was wrong. But a gnawing sense of unease propelled her forward, urging her to uncover something. With nervous hands, she approached the laptop and glanced at the screen, her heart racing with anticipation.

A message from Vien flashed on the screen, and Yanna's brow furrowed in confusion.

Why would Vien be messaging Myles at this hour? And what could they possibly have to talk about?

Curiosity getting the better of her, Yanna scrolled through the messages, her heart sinking with each word she read.

"Hey Luv... I miss you already. When are we going to meet again? Dapat kasi nagstay ka muna here sa condo ko." The words sent a chill down Yanna's spine, igniting a firestorm of doubt and fear within her.

She knew she shouldn't be reading Myles' private messages, but she couldn't stop herself. The evidence of Myles' betrayal lay before her, and it casted a shadow over their once-idyllic relationship.

Before she could delve deeper into the conversation, Yanna heard footsteps approaching, and panic surged through her veins. Quickly, she retreated to the safety of their bed, feigning sleep as Myles entered the room.

Myles slipped into bed beside her, wrapping her arms around Yanna in a familiar embrace. "I love you," she murmured, pressing a tender kiss to Yanna's forehead.

But Yanna couldn't find solace in Myles' affectionate words, her mind consumed by the message she had uncovered. How could she sleep knowing that her girlfriend was exchanging intimate messages with someone else?

Yet, even as doubt gnawed at her, Yanna tried to quell the rising tide of suspicion. 'But I shouldn't overthink,' she reminded herself, clinging to the fragile threads of trust that still bound them together. 'Myles wouldn't do anything like that. I trust her.'

With a heavy heart and a mind swilling with uncertainty, Yanna closed her eyes and willed herself to sleep, hoping that the darkness would offer respite from the turmoil raging within her.
