As they walked along the bustling streets, Yanna found herself lost in the comforting cadence of Maloi's voice. It was a familiar rhythm, a welcome distraction from the tumult of her thoughts. Yet, amidst the urban symphony, a single, nagging question persisted in her mind: Could she muster the strength to face Myles?

Her reverie was shattered by Maloi's gentle tap, a reminder that she had drifted away from the present moment. With an apologetic smile, Yanna followed her friend, traversing the final stretch of road toward her condominium. But fate, seemed, had other plans.

As they approached the building, Yanna's gaze fell upon a figure she knew a little too well, Myles. Her heart skipped a beat as she observed Myles, hand resting comfortably on the shoulder of another woman, their shared intimacy palpable. Maloi, sensing Yanna's unease, moved to steer her away, but Yanna's resolve was unyielding.

Yanna approached their direction "Myles," she whispered, her voice barely audible above the city's hum. Myles and the woman beside her turned, their expressions a mixture of surprise and apprehension. Before Myles could utter a word, the woman interjected with a saccharine tone, inquiring about their acquaintance.

Yanna's gaze remained fixed on Myles, her tone grave yet tinged with sorrow. "Myles, can we talk? Privately?" she requested, her eyes flickering briefly to Maloi and the girl beside her girlfriend. With a tentative agreement, Myles bid her companion farewell, ushering Yanna toward the elevator.

Silence enveloped them as they ascended, each step a testament to the weight of unspoken words between them. Upon reaching their floor, they entered the condo in silence, the air thick with unresolved tension. Yanna made her way to the bedroom, her movements deliberate as she gathered her belongings.

Myles, sensing Yanna's distress, reached out to stop her, "Hey, what's wrong?"

"Don't ever lay a finger on me again, Myles." Yanna recoiled, tears streaming down her cheeks.  she exclaimed, her voice trembling with emotion.

Confusion etched Myles' features as she attempted to decipher Yanna's anguish. "Tell me what's wrong," she implored, her voice tinged with desperation.

Yanna met her gaze with a mixture of disappointment and hurt. "Really? You're going to play innocent now?" she retorted bitterly, her words laced with accusation. " I literally witnessed you with another girl? and no, this is not the first time. I also saw you last night in a restaurant, with vien. Nakita ko din yung messages niyo sa isa't isa. It was all a warning."

"pero I denied it all to myself," Yanna confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "I defended you, I trusted you, but how could you betray that trust?" Her tears fell unabated, a testament to the depth of her anguish.

Myles' heart clenched at Yanna's words, the weight of her own guilt bearing down upon her. "I'm sorry, Yanna," she murmured, her voice barely audible amidst the echoes of shattered trust.

But Yanna was resolute, her resolve unyielding. "Sorry? Magiging okay ba ang lahat sa sorry na yan?" she demanded, her voice rising with each word. "You made a fool of me, Myles! You shattered everything we had! Masaya ka na ba? Masaya bang nakikita tayong nagkakaganito?"

Myles could only shake her head, unable to meet Yanna's gaze as the weight of her actions bore down upon her. "Anong nagyari? How did we get to this point?" she murmured, her voice laced with desperation. "There were a lot of warnings, but I didn't listen e.. kasi I trusted you, Myles. I never thought.. na kaya mong gawin to lahat."

Yanna sighed, her movements methodical as she gathered her belongings, each item a painful reminder of their shattered trust. "Please, don't try to contact me again," she implored, her voice tinged with finality as she prepared to depart. Yet Myles couldn't bear the thought of losing her love, not like this.

"Please, Yanna, just one more chance," Myles pleaded, her voice cracking with emotion. "I'll do better, I promise. It was just one mistake."

But Yanna remained resolute, her resolve unyielding. "There were plenty of chances for you to be better, but you did nothing, and even if you try to label it as a mistake, it's not simply a mistake because you chose to do it," she countered, her tone firm. "Let me go, Myles. Please, just this once."

With a heavy heart, she departed, leaving Myles alone in their once-shared sanctuary.

As the door clicked shut behind her, Myles remained standing, the weight of Yanna's absence a crushing burden upon her soul. In the silence that followed, she grappled with the harsh reality of her actions, the echoes of her mistakes reverberating through the empty space that once held their love.

Lying on their bed, Myles reached for her phone, her fingers trembling as she navigated through her social media accounts. The sight that greeted her was one of stark realization: Yanna had blocked her on all of her socials, a tangible manifestation of the fracture in their relationship. Each severed connection served as a painful reminder of the trust she had shattered, the wounds she had inflicted upon the person she loved most.

As she scrolled through the barren landscape of her social feeds, Myles felt a wave of remorse wash over her. She knew that no amount of apologies or explanations could ever erase the pain she had caused. She had betrayed Yanna's trust, taking advantage of her kindness and unwavering faith in their love. Now, as she lay in the aftermath of their breakup, Myles couldn't help but reflect on the lessons she had learned from her own shortcomings.

Myles realized the gravity of her actions and the irreparable damage they had wrought upon their relationship. She understood that cheating was not simply a mistake, but a conscious choice that she alone had made. She had allowed herself to be swayed by temptation, disregarding the love and commitment she had shared with Yanna.

Myles came to understand the importance of communication and honesty in a relationship. She had failed to address the issues that plagued their partnership, allowing doubts and insecurities to fester beneath the surface. In doing so, she had deprived Yanna of the opportunity to voice her concerns and address their problems together.

But perhaps most importantly, Myles recognized the value of Yanna's love and the depth of her own remorse. She had taken for granted the warmth of Yanna's smile, the tenderness of her touch, and the unwavering support she had offered through both good times and bad. Now, faced with the stark reality of her own actions, Myles vowed to carry the weight of her mistakes as a reminder of the love she had lost.

As she lay in the silence of their shared space, Myles made a solemn promise to herself: to strive for growth and redemption, to learn from her past transgressions, and to never again take for granted the precious gift of love. Though the road ahead would be fraught with challenges and uncertainty, Myles knew that she owed it to herself and to Yanna to embark on the journey toward self-discovery and forgiveness.
