5 years later

Yanna and Maloi strolled leisurely through the corridors of the building, their conversation a lively mix of jokes and banter. Colet, Maloi's girlfriend, walked alongside them, adding her own playful remarks to the mix. Despite the passage of time, Maloi had managed to move on from her past feelings for Yanna and remained a steadfast friend by her side.

As they walked, Yanna couldn't help but marvel at the bond she shared with these two incredible women. Their laughter filled the air, a comforting reminder of the unwavering support they offered her, especially during her toughest moments. Yet amidst their playful teasing, Yanna couldn't shake the feeling of longing that tugged at her heart.

"Ang sakit niyo naman sa mata! ang lovey-dovey niyo jan!" Yanna quipped, joining in on the laughter that followed. Maloi and Colet chuckled at their friend's antics, their camaraderie a testament to the strength of their friendship.

"Who knows? Malay mo one day ma meet mo na din yung para sayo!" Colet teased, waggling her eyebrows suggestively. Maloi joined in, teasing Yanna in good humor. "Kung ready na ulit siya mag mahal!"

Yanna simply chuckled at their playful teasing, grateful for their presence in her life. With a sudden craving for refreshment, she excused herself from her friends. "Hey, bili lang ako drink sa labas. Do you guys want anything?"

"Yung usual nalang, bayaran namin sa unit mamaya." Colet declared with a smile."Okay! You guys can go ahead na sa unit. I'll meet you there nalang," Yanna said as Maloi and Colet made their way to the elevator.

Stepping outside the building, Yanna crossed the street to the store across the road. After a brief wait in line, she purchased the drinks and headed back towards the building.

As she stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for her floor, a voice called out from down the hall.

"Please, hold the door!"

Yanna quickly obliged, holding the elevator door open for the newcomer. As the young woman stepped inside and offered her thanks, Yanna's eyes widened in surprise. It was Myles, a figure from her past, standing before her once again.

"No problem," Yanna replied with a smile, her shock quickly giving way to a sense of warmth at the unexpected reunion.

Myles, too, recognized Yanna, her expression a mix of surprise and sincerity. "Oh, hello Yanna. It's nice to meet you again."

Returning the greeting, Yanna offered a slight bow. "nice meeting you again, Myles."Curiosity flickered in Myles' eyes as she inquired about Yanna's well-being. "How have you been?"

Yanna shrugged nonchalantly. "Nothing much... Just enjoying life."Before Yanna could dwell on the past, Myles seized the opportunity to express her remorse.

"I'm sorry for the past, Yanna," she confessed, her voice tinged with genuine contrition. "I know my sorry isn't enough, but I just want to apologize for what I did. It was wrong of me."

Yanna's smile softened, her forgiveness already granted long before Myles uttered the words. "It's okay... I already forgave you," she reassured, her tone gentle and understanding. "And it's been five years. We've probably grown from it." Myles smiled hearing those words.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly as they exchanged updates on their lives, reminiscing about shared memories and catching up on the years that had passed since their paths had last crossed. But as the elevator chimed its arrival at Myles' floor, their reunion drew to a close.

With a wistful smile, Myles turned to Yanna, her gaze filled with a mixture of nostalgia and hope. "It was nice talking to you again, Yanna," she remarked, a hint of longing in her voice. "I'll see you when I see you, and maybe... if the world makes it aligned for us, it may be the right time to try again.."

Yanna returned her smile, a sense of possibility lingering in the air. "maybe..." she whispered softly, the prospect of a future reunion lingering in her thoughts as Myles stepped out into the hallway, leaving Yanna alone once more in the quiet confines of the elevator.
