Chapter 14

Leo woke up to his alarm in a cold sweat. His alarm was different; instead of the normal beep beep beep, he had it set to make a different noise.

"Rah, rah-ah-ah-ah oma, roma-ma gaga, ooh-la-la want your bad romance I want your ugly, I want your disea-"

Leo banged on his alarm and got out of bed.

"I don't want to be here..." he muttered. "But I guess it doesn't matter."

He got out of bed and put on the song 'Thunder' by Imagine Dragons while getting ready for the day.

"Just a young gun with a quick fuse... wanna let loose..." The song continued.

"Wanna leave my own life behind!" Leo sang.

Leo turned off the music and slipped on his Ravenclaw scarf as he walked out his dorm.

Percy and Annabeth were walking down the halls when they came towards the Great Hall to have breakfast. To Percy, it was a small, somewhat normal thing to do but it felt different being with her.

"I heard that Hagrid got replaced for his class because of Malfoy," Annabeth mentioned.

Percy sighed, and responded, annoyed, but also confused. "Hagrid got replaced? What will happen to the class?"

"I'm pretty sure we get a new teacher. Unless they just want to get rid of the class."

Percy felt a wave of anger come upon him as frustration started to build up inside him. "We might not have that class anymore? Geez, why does Malfoy have to ruin everything?"

"I don't know, I'm not a staff member or anything, so I wouldn't know."

Percy didn't know what to think, he felt a mixture of emotions. He was angry, but he was also confused once again.

He decided to ask one last time. "But you could guess right? I mean you are smart, so you probably have better ideas over who is going to replace him than me."

"Well, I just told you what I think. Were you not listening?"

"Who wasn't listening?" Harry asked as he walked over to them, holding hands with Hermione and Ron and Grover coming up beside them.

"Hey guys!" Grover yelled over to the group.

"Hey, G-Man! Haven't seen you much lately." Percy and Grover did their handshake and turned to everyone else.

"I'm taking Hermione on a little 'study date' tonight. Her words, not mine. Y'all should come by when we're done! Ima try and get some snacks from the great hall. Percy... they have blue cookies," Harry said to try and catch their attention.

Harry had caught his attention, and Percy looked over at him. He rolled his eyes at the whole situation, but he couldn't help but feel intrigued by the idea of getting some snacks from the great hall. Even if it was just a little, that was enough for him to want to go with them.

Maybe he would at least get a chance to talk with her during the walk to the great hall. He could only hope. "Alright. I'm in," Percy replied.

"Nice! We'll see you guys later." Harry motioned for everyone else to follow him and they did, leaving Annabeth and Percy alone again.

"Cmon, let's keep walking. I don't want to be late. You know what happened last time." Annabeth said to Percy.

"Yeah..."

Percy and Annabeth arrived at the Great Hall not too much later, and they went to their separate tables as everyone in their chosen houses continued to eat their food in front of them.

Jason was sitting in the class with Piper while Professor Flitwick was in the restroom.

"Come on, today's got to be the day. I need to tell her how I feel. Um... yeah, I got this. Yeah!" Jason thought.

"Pipes? Hey, you there?"

Piper continued staring at empty space in the classroom. Jason noticed and waved his hand in front of her faces, catching her attention and snapping her back to reality.

"Huh?"

"Piper, you were zoning out again. You okay?" Jason asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Ok... can I talk to you later?"

"Sure."

"I just want to tell you when we're more by ourselves."

"Okay."

Professor Flitwick returned shortly afterwards and finished wrapping up the lesson he was teaching.

"Pop quiz! Clear your areas, keep your writing tool out!" Professor Flitwick announced to the class, expecting their answer when he finished speaking with everyone in the front of the class.

The class groaned as they put their stuff back in their bags or set them down on the floor below their chair or stool.

Piper and most of the class finished their quiz and she looked over to Jason, who looked like he was sweating.

"You okay there, Jason?" She asked in a quiet whisper to his ear.

"Yeah, I'm fine... it's just a bit hot.. hehe."

"Okay well I can-"

Ring!!!

Piper and Jason walked out of the classroom and joined the gigantic crowd of students heading over to the Great hall when Jason pulled her aside.

"Jason? What are you doing...?"

"Um, I want to ask you something."

Silence.

"Go ahead."

Jason took a deep breath. "Piper, you've always been the most beautiful girl. You're smart, funny, and you've always made me a better person because of it. I have like one of the biggest crushes on you." He chuckled. "Piper McLean, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Aww Jason, is this why you've been worrying for a little while now? Because you were nervous?"

"Maybe..." he cleared his throat. "Do you have an answer?"

She kissed him on the cheek, which made him blush. "Does that answer your question?"

"Yes." Jason felt like he was melting right there on the spot.

"Well then, let's go, boyfriend." Piper grabbed his arm and dragged him to the Great Hall.
