"Sting, why have you been so busy lately?" You asked him as you were both cuddled up on your couch.
"The council is doing this thing in about two weeks, I'm not even sure if it'll pass." He sighed, shifting his body to face you. "They're planning on doing this wizard transfer program with Fairy Tail. The information is still unclear, but they're having me fill out the paperwork now."
"With Fairy Tail? Why would they need a program like that?"
"I don't know, something about expanding their knowledge by learning from other guilds." Sting shrugged. "It could be fun if the council actually decides to do it."
"Yeah, I guess so." You answered plainly.
"Why do you ask?"
"I don't know, I just haven't seen you that busy before."
Sting stayed silent a moment before frowning slightly. "You don't think I'm hiding something from you, do you?"
"What? No, I didn't think that... but why would you say that?"
"Because I'm getting the sense that you think I'm hiding something."
"Are you hiding something?"
"Of course not!"
"Then there's nothing to worry about."
"Are you hiding something from me?"
"Absolutely not."
"Okay then."
Even though the conversation was short, it left a bad taste in your mouth. Your mind was working overtime, and you couldn't stop fidgeting. Sting would glance down at you every so often, but would ignore your little movements.
When the show you both were watching was over, he helped you tidy up the living room. It wasn't abnormal of him to help you with a little housework when he had came over. And most times, you would thank him with a kiss (and sometimes maybe more) but you were feeling uneasy. Your mind had made up so many fake scenarios that you had made yourself sick.
"Is everything okay?" Sting tilted his head, and you just nodded, unsure of what to say. "Do you want me to spend the night?"
"You can if you want."
"You look so pale, Y/n. Are you sure you're feeling alright?"
"Uhm..."
"Well..?"
"I really, really do not like Calista. I mean, who continues to hit on a guy who has made it perfectly clear that he's taken? I saw her and Yukino laughing together earlier and—"
"You don't need to worry about Calista."
"Then what should I be worried about?"
"You shouldn't worry about anything, my love. You're thinking too much about it."
You took a deep breath and let it out, trying to calm yourself down. "Okay, you're right."
"But I understand how you feel, okay? That new guy is pissing me off too. But I'm not worrying about it, because I trust you."
"I trust you too."
"Good. So let's just relax, okay?" Sting smiled, lifting your chin upwards to look at him.
"Okay." You answered before he leaned down to kiss you. After a few seconds, he pulled away.
"You don't care if I spend the night, right?" He asked sweetly, cupping your face gently.
"Honestly? I'd actually prefer it." You smiled a bit and let out a sigh. "I just want to spend time with you."
"Is there a specific way you want to spend that time?" He smirked a bit.
