Coming out of Sting's office, you showed off one new hickey on your collar bone that he tried to leave the day earlier. He stayed in his office to get paperwork done, but he was thankful that you made him take a little break.
You almost had made it back out to the pool, but Kaylus was walking in as you were about to walk out. "Oh, hey." He said plainly.
"Hey." You said back.
"I really need to talk to you about something."
"About what, specifically?" You raised an eyebrow, crossing your arms.
"There's this thing called the 'Balam Alliance,' have you heard of them?"
"I'm not sure? It doesn't sound familiar..."
"Think really hard back at your time with Fairy Tail. Think of guilds you've been up against."
"Phantom Lord, the Oración Seis—"
"That one. Remember the guild I told you about? Grimoire Heart? The one on Tenrou Island?"
"Yes, what are you getting at?"
"I found some more information. This Balam Alliance is a non-aggression pact between three dark guilds, Oración Seis and Grimoire Heart being two of them."
"So what's the third one?"
"I'm not sure yet. But I have suspicion to think that's Calista is apart of it."
You inhaled deeply, and then exhaled. "Why do you think that?"
"I don't know, I just have this feeling. You know the feeling you get in your gut that won't go away? That's how I feel. This is important is to me, this feeling isn't going to go away."
"Are you sure you're just not sick?"
"I'm positive. I'm telling you, Calista is apart of this guild. I've seen her at other minor dark guilds.
"Minor dark guilds?! And you're mentioning this now!?"
"People can change, I have! But I don't think she has."
"If you thought this from the beginning, why didn't you say something!?"
"I don't know! The conversation never came up, I guess."
"There were plenty of opportunities for you to say something to me or to Sting or to literally anybody else!" You yelled at him. He stared at your face, just listening to you. You caught him bite his lower lip, but you ignored it. "What guilds have you seen her apart of!?"
"The main one is Succubus Eye, which I suspect is a minor guild operated under the third dark guild apart of the alliance."
"And how do you know this?"
"I've known about it for some time. Honestly, I had forgotten about it. But I heard that some new members were recruited for Succubus Eye."
"And you just didn't say anything?"
"No."
"Do you realize how that makes you look in this guild? Sting already doesn't trust you."
"But you do, don't you?"
