Good morning my stars! Or whatever time it is for you! I hope you've been enjoying the little filler chapters so far. Don't worry, we'll get into the important stuff very soon!

F/T = Favorite Thing
____________________________The next morning when you, Sting and Rogue walked into the guild, all eyes were on you and Sting. Things traveled quickly in the guild, more so now because of Kaylus and Calista. But you and Sting ignored it, walking in confidently to the end of the bar where Calista was. As for Kaylus, he was at the opposite end, within ear shot.
"Okay Calista, here's what we're gonna do." Sting said matter of factly, crossing his arms. "You are going to spend the day with Y/n and you both are going to get to know each other. And I will be spending the day with Kaylus."
Kaylus spit out his drink across the bar, choking on whatever was left. Calista stared at Sting wide eyed, and the glared at you. "But Sting!" She cried, but Sting shot her a look.
"No buts! I believe that this will work if we can just understand and get to know each other."
"But—!"
"What did I say? I said 'no buts!' Master's orders!"
"Ugh, fine!" Calista groaned.
"It'll be fun, I promise." You smiled, trying to be nice. Maybe you all just got off on the wrong foot and gave bad first impressions.
"Alright! Let's go, Kaylus!" Sting shouted happily, walking towards the end of the bar. "Let's go on a job!"
"Why, so you can kill me?"
"Haha, nope! Come on, let's go somewhere!" Sting wrapped an arm around Kaylus's shoulders, leading him out of the guild hall.
"How do you think that's gonna go?" Yukino asked you from behind the bar.
"I'm not sure... all we can do is hope for the best." You sighed.
**
"So, what do you want to do, Kaylus?" Sting asked as they walked farther and farther away from the guild.
"Nothing."
"Aww come on, nothing is gonna happen with that attitude!"
"Exactly the point."
"Listen, do you think I willingly wanted to do this? Its was Y/n's idea that we get to know each other."
"Why? There's no need for us to know each other." Kaylus crossed his arms.
"It's to establish some form of trust or at the very least to get to know each other."
"But there's no reason for it." Kaylus rolled his eyes, as they walked into a park that was near by.
"There is a reason for it." Sting sighed, pushing his fingers through his hair.
"Well? Care to enlighten me?"
Sting stopped in his tracks, thinking if he should really be talking to Kaylus in the first place. Kaylus took a few steps forward before he had noticed Sting stopped. Sting looked off to his right, and saw a bench. He took a spot down at the bench, and Kaylus followed his lead. Sting didn't want to get to know Kaylus, but he was doing it for you because you are the most important thing in his life. So what was tolerating someone for the day? And maybe something good would come out of it. Maybe Kaylus would understand him more and vise versa.
"Y/n is the most important person in my life. Sure, we have our days but I love her so much that it hurts. Ever since you and Calista had joined, it's been causing some issues within our own relationship. But our trust is not the issue. I trust her with my life. And I know she trusts me with hers. It's a matter of trusting the new people, or at the very least getting to know them so we don't have to feel this way."
