Hey guys, this is gonna be a new story it's about a story that I was planning to do sooner or later, but I never got time for it, but I got time for it now so let me start: Anyways, let's begin: one windy afternoon in Mirkwood 6 year old Legolas was flicking his arrows through the air, but one of them fell into a tree that was near a lake and Legolas knew that he was forbidden to climb big trees because sometimes the branches were too weak and sometimes the branches were really slippery but Legolas really wanted to get his arrow back so he came to climb up the tree when he finally reached where the arrows were he tried to get it out, but when he got out, he found out that he was dangling right underneath the lake and he got so scared, and on top of that, it started to rain. Itrained so much that the rain water made the branch so slippery that the little elfling couldn't hold on much longer and then all the sudden a strong wind blew him off the branch and he plummeted into the water. The water was so quickly that the little elf floated down the river and he tried to get up to the surface, but he couldn't and he yelled out. " dad!!!!!!!!!! " help!!!!!!!!!! Legolas yelled so loud that his throat began to hurt but then back at Mirkwood Thranduil was eating his lunch when all of a sudden he felt a bad feeling in his mind and he looked out the window and saw his son in the distance drowning in the water. " Legolas"!!!!! Thranduil said running out of his palace and he bumped into Feren and said " oh my goodness I'm sorry Feren i'm in a rush. My son is drowning in the water thranduil said getting on the elk and he looked over at Feren and he said, "would you like to come with me?" The guard of the castle said " of course I will come with you my king if anything happens to the elfling prince, I don't know what I will do" Feren said as he got onto the elk with the king holding onto the reigns and he said "come on faster" back at the lake. The poor little prince didn't know what to do. He was getting cold and he was getting wet and not on top of that. He was getting sick and the water was so cold that he thought he was gonna get the elf flu he tried to get out of the water by holding onto a branch, but he ended up falling onto a pile of broken branches and when he fell down onto the branch, he noticed his little hand was bleeding and little nose too as he tried to get out The current was so strong that it pulled him back in. When finally Thranduil finally reached the lake, he tried to go in, but the current was too strong, but he spotted his son and he said "don't worry, baby. We will think of something just hang on." Thranduil said as he tried to calm down, but nothing worked. He was two actions. He tried to get into the lake, but then he remembered he was afraid big bodies of water because when he was a little boy, he drowned in water and ever since he was afraid of lakes. " my king don't worry I'll go save your son said Feren removing his cloak and jumping into the water Thranduil was nervous because he did not to lose him too, even though he wasn't his son, he treated him like his son also hours passed and nothing happened until he saw Feren jump out the water with the little Elfling shivering in his arms, he opened his little eyes and looked at the two elves, and he said " Ada and Feren" Legolas said coughing out water and his daddy removed his wet shirt and he reached into his medical bag that he always had just in case something bad happened while he was hunting and took out an extra towel and wrapped it around his son, but when he looked over at Feren he noticed that he was sneezing and coughing, and he said " Feren are you OK?" You don't look too well I think you're sick said the king as he grabbed another towel to give Feren the older elf took the towel and said "don't worry, my king I'll be OK" when Legolas looked at his dad he said " Ada when I fell into the lake. I got so scared. I thought something bad happened. I thought it wasn't gonna see you anymore, daddy" Legolas said shivering because he was freezing cold and later on the king and his assistant took the little elf home and back at Mirkwood Thranduil was trying to keep his son warm by giving him a hot steaming bath, but not too hot so he wouldn't burn himself but hot enough to get him to a warm temperature and he was giving him a bath. He kept hearing sneezing coming from the room. When the king went to check what was going on, he said. " baby your bath is not done yet so stay in the tub. I'll be right back. Don't get out." Thranduil said leaving the bathroom for five minutes and when he went to the room where the noise was coming from, he saw Feren sneezing so much that mucus were coming out of his nose and he said " my dearest friend I think you have a cold" 0I'll come back and check on you in a few minutes. I have to finish giving my my little leaf bath but before the king could go anywhere Feren tried to get up and he said don't worry, King. I will give the little prince his bath. You don't have to do anything just relax. I will help you, but before he could finish his sentence. Feren sneezed. " Achoo!!!!! The sneeze was so strong that the older elf fell back on the bed and the king tucked him in and said " you stay in bed. you are sick then Thranduil went back to the bathroom and continued to give his son a hot warm bath after bathtime Legolas ate hot soup and then he he started to feel a bit bit after a few hours his daddy said "my son I'm glad that you're OK but just please no more climbing trees when it rains silly little boy but also that was very unsafe so please don't do it again" Thranduil saidgiving his son some medicines so he doesn't get sick"
But later in the afternoon Legolas was getting so much better that he didn't need to stay in bed anymore, but when he found out that Feren got a cold. He ran to him and said " Feren are you okay" Elfling Legolas said as he entered the room and saw the sick elf in his bed at that moment Thranduil walked into the room with a bowl of soup and he spotted his baby boy and he said " no Legolas don't any closer Feren has a cold my baby leaf so he won't be able to take you to the park today and then anyway we can't go to the park. It's raining out there. " is all my fault Ada Legolas said crying and this made his father worry and he said "why do you say that my sweet boy?" " well if I didn't fall into the lake, he wouldn't have to save me and then he wouldn't have gotten sick. I'm such a mean little boy it's all my fault that Feren is sick What if he doesn't want to be my friend?" Legolas said as his father tried to calm him down and he said " don't worry my son it's not your fault my sweet darling boy these things happen and you're very lucky that you were saved by your best friend because to tell you the truth my son I was terrified to get in that water because you see when I was very small. I drowned of water just like you and ever since I was scared so you're very lucky to have a friend that was sacrifice his life for you to save so once he gets better, I want you to say thank you OK." "All right daddy I will." When Feren noticed the tray of soup, he said. " thank you my dear king" " but I can feed myself Feren said but when he tried to pick up the spoon, his hands were so slippery that the spoon fell into the soup so Thranduil had to choice, but to feed him like a child. As the king helped Feren eat the soup he also noticed that he was running a fever and Thranduil took a cloth and soaked it in water and puts it on Feren's forehead and he said " shh my friend I will take care you i promise" later at night Legolas woke up to the sound of vomiting and he went to check what was going on and then he saw Feren vomiting on the floor and the elfling ran to him and he said crying " what is wrong Feren" " does your tummy hurt" Little Legolas said as he helped his best friend climb onto the bed and then he said " stay there I'm going to get my Ada at that point, the little elf was so scared because he didn't want to lose his best friend so he ran all the way to his father who was sound asleep " Ada!!!!!! Legolas said yelling so loud that Thranduil woke up, but he knew when his son yelled that loud that something was going on, so he said without any hesitation " little leaf what is going on what's wrong" Legolas said " Ada Feren is vomiting and his fever went up" Legolas said as he tried not to cry, but his daddy calmed him down and said " shh my son" I promise you that nothing will happen to him because I will never leave his side his father said, call me out for the healers as he was carrying the very sick elf in his arms when the nurses and doctors arrived at the palace, they looked over the sick elf and they said " my lord Thranduil your elf guard has the flu but the good news is you caught it on time if you waited any longer, you could have been dead when Feren finally woke up he looked over and saw little elfling Legolas and he said " hi baby how are you my little one he said as Legolas hugs him gently " I was so worried about you Feren Legolas said as he cried and Feren said " shh my baby brother please don't cry. I'm feeling better and once I feel a lot better, I will take you to to the park and we can feed the little ducklings OK" later in the afternoon Thranduil was reading a book to Legolas as he read the book his son wasn't really enjoying it and he said my little one what's wrong you don't want to hear the story about the little elf that could" Thranduil said very confused and concerned, but then his son threw the book to the floor like he did when he was very little and he said I don't want stories. I don't want anything. I just want my friend to get better." Legolas said running off and going into his room and crying into his pillow and his eyes were all red and he was wet with tears and thranduil went to check on Legolas and he said " my Little Legolas I know how you feel. It's very hard to see someone that you love when they're very sick, but don't worry he'll get better myself. He's strong and he will be with us for a long time. Said his dad comforting him and his dad picked up the book and said " look my son it's a daddy duck and he's little son just like you and I thranduil said wrapping his robe around his baby boy, and they both fell asleep that night. But at night Legolas was having trouble sleeping because he was having nightmares about Feren leaving him behind forever. So Thranduil woke him up and gave Legolas a special tea to help him sleep and he hugged his little boy gently and said "shhh my little leaf I know how you feel. I'm very worried about him too. I see him like my son like you're my son. He's my son too." but the very next morning they got amazing news the healer went to the king and she said " king thranduil we have good news The nurse said as both father and son walked into the hospital room " Feren it's feeling so much better that he can go home and he just needs to rest for about maybe the whole entire day" the nurse said with a smile and also make sure no one gets close to him he still very contagious and if you're elfling gets sick with this type of elf flu he might get very sick. Later that afternoon. At Mirkwood Thranduil took Feren to his room and wraps a blanket around him and said stay in bed and don't get up unless you have to go to the bathroom but when Legolas tried to get close to Feren his father grabbed him and he said " my Little Legolas I'm so sorry to tell you this, but you cannot get close to him for a couple days or maybe the whole entire day but be safe. I want you to stay away from him for a while until he gets better thranduil said as he carried his baby boy out of the room. But a few weeks later Legolas started to miss Feren even though his friend was home he felt like he was left out, and that he couldn't be close to him so he started to misbehave and started not to listen to his father. His father knew why he was acting like this every time something bad happened and. Legolas couldn't be around it. He would misbehave because he was angry. " Legolas my son I know you're very angry, but you have to calm down my son. It's been a few days and he's getting better but I need you to calm down and behave and eat your vegetables. Thranduil said trying to feed his son, but then his son started to clam down and he ate all his food and drink his milk and eat his Lembas. And then the next morning Feren was all better and Thranduil cheeked on him just to make sure and he said look you're all better. You can go see my son. I know he will be happy to see you." And when Legolas saw Feren he jumped out of his bed and tackled the elf to the floor and he said " oh Feren i missed you so much please don't scare me so much like that again Legolas said as Feren tickles Legolas and after a while Feren decided to read the five little duck story to his Little Legolas and once again their friendship was restored to normal and thranduil was very happy that Feren was all better
